Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Marine Carbs ?
« on: December 11, 2007, 09:47:45 AM »
I have a Edelbrock carb 750 cfm that i had on my other boat with a 455 Olds and now im building a BBF 460.  Im just wondering if i should use it or go with a 850 Holley DP?

Im kinda leaning to the holley, So my question is what would you guys do?

Im thinking sell it on Ebay and pick up a Holley, or should i just run it and go from there. And what is the difference on car vs Marine carbs.  This has probably been asked here before but i dont want to do it twice ;D

People here give out good advice, soooo......... lets get some ;)

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Fuel pump ?
« on: December 11, 2007, 08:27:29 AM »
So what determines the inlet/outlet size?  You say it regulates to a point?  At what point do you need a regulator on a carbed motor?

The Holley Blue pump puts out 110 GPH @14psi And the normal carb only allows 7psi so it has to be regulated to the carb.   It will actually fill your crankcase full of fuel really quick and hurt the carb ;) with no regulater.
I think thats correct ???

The only problem with having too many pumps is that you are confused that much more  ???

Now why would i tell you it made a big difference if it didnt? Sarcastic No i wasnt being sarcastic. Maybe you should do some research on the Energizer kit and read what they have to say about it? Maybe you will believe them.

Its not like im trying to push a sell on it ???  im not, this was posted and i received a PM the same day and now it belongs to someone else. Just waiting to hear when they want it shipped ;)

I would install it. Its a better pump than the  Jacuzzi.
My opinion from experience.

Thanks Omar,

Im not able to check it out myself, my father in law is looking at it, i guess it belongs to a friend of his and the guy just wants to get back what he just put into it. But i told him $3,000 and go from there. It needs some uphostery work, but everything else was just done at some shop in Corona.

I will get some pics up ;)
