with all the pounding you are going to have the way you mounted the pump will probaby pull the screws out because of not being supported in the front=as i suggested on previous post -bulkhead fittings will work well and you donot need to caulk around them and they are a solid mount against the transom=i have had ours for three years with no leaks and no moving around problems

plus an enclosed box box might be better as you donot have to worry about water getting into any connections or such and makes a cleaner looking installation

i used brass bulk head fittings =you have a npt on both ends and so you can use stainless braided lines on the outside=speed shop should have the lines or maybe your local hd store=will try to get photos up soon
