it was way fat so i jeted it down to #72s and #74s the carbs are 750s. the plugs are a nice light root beer ish.

So are my carbs (750's). Sounds like you got it about right, I don't yet. Have no idea what's in them yet. It's running, running good, just needs all those little touches to see her capability. But dun worry about the frosting. I was warned about that putting on the tunnel in the first place. Engines like cool mixtures methinks, at least that's the theory, ask the Honda guys.......

Lol Mine gets a little frosty, but the carbs still need a LOT of tuning from someone smarter about it than me, thedn it'll prolly ice up pretty good. Plugs say I'm running a little lean, (White to very light grey). I'll get Terry on it when we hook up again.

I would be willing to bet you can ask anyone you see "Have you seen a bunch of loud, obnoxious Jet boats?" They would be able to point you in the right direction immediately. (That's my plan anyway). Especially since Nordies now going open headers too, lol.

I am truly blessed and thankful nothing happened to you guys with it, I couldn't live with that. And my brother Brett at least kept a pretty cool head about himself using the blowhorn and getting everyone outta the boat and onto another boat. (Even tho he didn't see the fire extinguisher, but from what I picked up on the posts on PB, some carry three and feel unsafe with that!).

Everyone wanted to ride the Moo that day, thankfully, otherwise it mighta had 8 people on the thing. So everyone was fighting over who got to ride the Moo next and didn't give a crap about the Blue boat except it could haul people and stuff to the beach like a truck!

It all ended OK, with lessons learned. I still have 1 good running boat (With a leaky oil pan, but we'll get that phucker fixed if it kills me and I gotta go to the extreme and pull the engine again), and all my friends and family alive and well.

I feel horrible that you guys worked so hard on the boat and did so much to have it go down in flames like that, but again, noone was hurt and they easily coulda been. This is a lesson I hope everyone takes to heart. The only non marine item on the boat was the carb, and I really don't think that had a role, it was still running when this all happened. I could be wrong. The new carb/intake combo that was slated to go on it (This week, in fact) was a Marine 850. I don't think any of that was involved. Josh and I have a theory, I hope I am able to recover what's left (new developments on that in the other thread), and maybe then have an answer or two. If nothing else, I'll have maybe a partial transom with a title like Glenn has! (Get the Flattie Terry, we may have an Idea)
