It still has a 460, that was running fine even on  fire! Brother Brett shut it down though when it looked outta hand.

Don't need to stay with Fords, that's just what mine have all come with is all. The interchangeability of stuff is kinda nice though. I'm hoping the pinhead with the Sleekcraft emails me back so I can go look at the thing. Otherwise, that yellow one with the shooting glass windsheild sure looks different!

That open bow sure looks flat! Might be a fun ride,  Especially up front in Bikini season! Yeah, it's definately have to go Hemi and a Berk or something though.

And thanks Glenn, lol I think if I were to paint flames on mine, they'd have to be aiming up, not towards the back of the boat to keep things on an honest level,  And I saw you caught the thread over on PB too, lol. How funny is that?

Lemme see what I think I can afford for a budget for this. That $1700 Sleekcraft, if not too bad and really only needs a pump looks like a very sweet deal. No matter what I get, it's coming apart and getting THOROUGHLY gone through like the Moo did. I'm not taking anyones definition of turnkey again. I got til July 29th when RJ comes home to rectify this or he just might kill his uncle Brett,

Lol, true, but the only jets I saw all day were mine, and the only one able to roost was the one on fire! (My diverter for the moo arrives on Monday)

Thanks Jeremy. Actually, I'm ok with it, I had less than 4k into the thing, coulda been worse. A LOT worse!) HAD it been the Moo, yeah, I'd be heartbroken as far as the boat goes, prolly more so, as Cadillac was. I was joking around about it quite a bit last night, and LORD the hangover I had going into work this morning! Went in at 8, sobered up about 2 PM. I think the getting drunk part was more my brother than me.

My Brother is absolutely sick about it. I pretty much made it his boat (Trying to get some evenness in his soon to be divorced, messed up life), and he's just ill. When I was stopped by the other boat that had rescued them, he was sitting on it's swim deck and appeared injured, which scared me. After all was said and done (And you heard the shit I was giving him when I talked to you), it is what it is, and the Biesemeyer Cruisers just became rarer.

Didn't help matters when I was kidding him saying, "It wasn't enough to break it, or even sink it, you hadda blow it up, burn it, THEN sink it" lol. (That's how we are, rub the salt in).

Haven't told my son yet (The kids are back East for the summer), RJ's gonna lose it! He loved that boat! Hoping I can find a replacement I can afford before they come back.

Yeah, Jeremy pretty much told the story, and that's pretty much how it happened so I'm told. Someone there recorded a video of it burning and then sinking (I guess it's a little over 45 minutes or so). By the time I saw it it was down to below the waterline, still burning. Didn't see it go down, but I guess the DVD the guy's sending me shows that part, lol.

Someone sent my brother a picture in his e-mail box (He hasn't forwarded it to me yet) with the heading, 'Dude, check out what happened at Saguaro, lol.

Yeah, VERY fortunate noone was hurt, was just filled up with 40 gallons!

Another thing to remember is if some else is operating your boat, make sure they know where the fire extinguisher is! (That wouldn't have hepled in this case, the boat was almost immediately consumed I'm told, but my brother couldn't find it mounted to the gunwall beside the engine cover, and had someone throw theirs to him, which went right into the lake about 10 feet short of him).

My best guess is a cracked fuel tank, somewhere low on the tank was leaking fuel. It had a bad gas smell after running it awhile that jeremy and Terry fixed (Leaking fuel lines at the carb), and that seemed to cure it. But yeah, I have run the boat all day and trailered it at dark with 1/4 tank in it.

We put it in yesterday full, ran about 5 trips across Saguaro lake, through the channel to a beach and it was on fumes. Shoulda taken note on that, but did find another cracked hose and loose clamp on the fuel pump, which I fixed before they went back to fill it up.

I'm going to assume that all that gas leaked out and prolly soaked into the foam under the floor. After filling it I guess they could smell a little gas, but assumed it was from just filling it.

But yeah, right at the channel entrance is where she exploded, burned, and sank. Dunno how deep, dunno if worth even trying to salvage anything from it, but the only thing left would be the flamed engine, pump and diverter (Being aluminum, dunno if that would even be salvageable). Water should be pretty deep there, I mean it's in the MIDDLE of the channel entrance from the main lake across from the marina.

Sherrifs dept hauled all the people and stuff in from the beach, as well as the 9 people I had on the Moo (Way overloaded, and just happened to be heading back to see what was taking so long. Another big boat flagged me down on the way, and then everyone jumped in the Moo and we went to see it).

Had the Moo tied to the dock for about an hour while they questioned my brother about the whole thing, so I sat on the dock with my feet holding the boat out from it so it wouldn't get beat up, pulling beer outta my cooler, lol. Deputy standing there too, laughing as I threw the empties in the boat!

I was gonna recommend that, especially with as much up angle you have on that diverter and pump. My one pice swim deck needs some serious modifications to clear the reverse cable it has already fugged up on mine.
