8 hours. With a caravan and the wives/girlfriends/both it might take a little longer.

Ok guys...I counted only 9 boats on this thread. There are 80 members here so 71 of you are holding back. Being that most of us are So cal Boaters and have limited lakes, the odds are pretty good that we will all run into each other at one time or another. I personally would like to recognize the boats as being from here. Plus I really like to seeing pics of real world hot rod boats and NOT the big barges that flood the pages of our favorite magazine(s).
Being that it's winter time, post pics of projects as well.
 :) Don't be shy!!! Here's a few more.

Hotels are probably the best bet. There are alot of cities around CFW. Lincoln is on the way. East Sac is about 45 min from the CFW. I'm down for whatever the group wants to do. I think the caravan will be 1/2 the fun of the trip. Not too often yah see a bunch of Hot rod boats in January cruising up the 5  :)

I like the logo you have. It'll look great on clothing (and of course as stickers too)

Lets make it happen!

Yes!....I had 5 made up....3 left... They are 16" wide and they werent cheap, but look great!

I am thinking i might have a large batch made up soon of some smaller less expensive stickers. Also, T-Shirts are in the works! Who's interested?
I'm interested in stickers and shirts. Heck, with it as cold as it is it would be cool to have sweatshirts as well. Great for camping and stuff. I know it's expensive to do, but maybe we could buy in with some pre-orders to get them started. Atleast enough to pay for initial screenings n such.

How long is that drive?
It's about 8 hours. It would be cool if on one of the big weekends we all caravanned up there. Be a neat little convoy of boats headin up the 5.  ;D

Any more specifics on the name and location for those of us who are kinda new to jet boating? I am from San Diego and I am not too familar with the good spots.
I'm just a few miles north of yah.
For the good places in So Cal, your best bet is the River. For quick afternoon jaunts there is always Elsinore. For the weekends when you want to really let it loose, head up to Northern Cal's CFW. Just a little N.E. of Sac. Well worth the drive.

whats CFW?

sorry about the edit.....i was logged in as admin and wasnt watching what i was doing....thought i was quoting you...but i actually was editing you....  :-\
I was wondering about that. Damn! being edited already :'(
CFW is Camp far West in Nor. cal. Awesome place. No speed limit no noise restrictions. Fast boats all over the place. Although camping is year round, the two biggest days are New Years and fathers day.
I'm making the trip!

A good friend of mine is selling his Eliminator. The boat is awesome!!! Lots of pump work. It has a All aluminum 540, Lunati 1/4 billet blower crank and rods, J.E. 7.5/1 blower pistons, Holey aluminum 345 heads, comp solid roller, dual holley 800's, Mallory sprin mag etc. Boat is gorgeous and hauls ass. He would sell turnkey or less engine but perfers the later.
The boat is located in Nor Cal (Sac area). I have a lot of pics of the boat.
If anyone is interested let me know.
