Not a problem, Hoping Brad sells it anyway, he could use the money rather than giving it away. Then me figuring out the perplexing problem of storing it, but for free, I'll work it out if it comes to that (Maybe leave it in the pool, lol)

I need this like I need cancer, but.......... :screwy:

Given what you and your boys just did Elwood, Send me your addie and I'll ship 'em to ya. Not perfect, but good rebuildable carbs. (came off a running Tunnel rammed 460 a couple years ago). I decided to, and did, go bigger.

I have a Harmin Water pump plate for a jet drive, no provision for water pump tho? That help?

No, lol, don't worry about it Terry. I'm sending my boat up with Jeremy, cuz with the angle I see, you need at least two, if not three, to rescue this thing safely. And I told Jeremy, might send my intake and carb up if you've got nothing else to do, lol. (Carb needs rebuilt anyway, and you were gonna see it eventually anyhow).

You guys have fun on this, wish I could take the time and be there for it, sounds like FUN!

Jeremy, you DO realize you're borrowing my boat which is a FORD, lol?  >:D

Still, I've been processing in my lil brain what use I would have for it. At $250 it's a STEAL! :screwy:

Hell, might make a good window planter box for that price! Or Bread Pan, orrrrr...... OK, I'm leaving it alone. :banghead:

Lemme know on the carbs, taking up space in the garage right now, and in my way (As is everything else). I got a bunch of slot wall to go in there and need to clear out as much as possible to put the sheit up! (Don't ask, work retail, this stuff just falls in your lap. Once did my garage in Ohio, before the divorce, looked like a friggin Radio Shack store, but was cool as hell for hanging shit!)

I just copied the pic, I will send it to my buddy in Deaborn Michigan, he works for the Motorsport division and if anyone knows what the hell that is would be him.

I agree with GT, leave the flappers be. Not gonna gain anything, and if you do mostly river running, even more so as currents can easily waterlock the engine depending on which direction you're running and lift. (see the same thing on the lakes here at times, when they open the locks the current can be extreme at say Saguaro or Canyon lake).

You also need (required) a USCG Flame arrestor in all 50 states on all boats, from what I've found out. I would look at ways to direct what airflow you do have to the engine as it is maybe a bigger flame arrestor, again, as GT said. (Which, to my mind, is that not what a cold air intake does anyway?)

While we're on the subject, when did the BS Honda guys start making "Cold Air Intakes" for watercraft? Missed that evolution.

If you want more performance from the exhaust, gonna hafta go with center risers, TT or OT headers. Pretty much you're only options.

Again, just my .02

Coooommpppp    caaaammmmmmms...

Whatcha talkin bout?

Tee hee!

Degree The Cam...As you said,  and find out where you are at  ;D

Always good advice, and ALWAYS DO THIS! Every time I've installed a cam, granted, only on one boat engine, but in the past, had issues with the timing sets. That's why they make the offset keys and cam gears with multiple keyways.

Think of it this way. The cam maker's equipment might be off a degree or two any given day, + or -, so could the equipment making the cam gear or the separate piece of equipment making the crank gear. Figure a tolerance of maybe 2% (And that is being generous, prolly more like 5%, but just for argument), let alone the keyway on your crank could be off quite a bit (It was made by the same guys panhandling money from Congress).

Their Q/C department should be able to quote their tolerance, but it is just that, a tolerance, which means every piece coming off is off from what they say it is.

Now you've got a very real possibilty of a 6% error (in reality, up to 15%, maybe more including the factory or aftermarket crankshaft), in critical valve timing by following the standard keyway timing method. That's nuts on a performance engine.

Degree every cam every time. Just my .02.

I can't beleive noones picked this thing up! They go for over $400 on Ebay every time I see one! I'd buy it in a heartbeat if there was even a remote possibility of me installing a chebbie in something in the near future.

Personally, I would guess a page or two of pictures if Tuesdays rescue goes down. This is gonna be a Kodak Moment. Rivermamma going along Terry? Jenn going Brad? need photographers, and you need Chromey for the "manuel" labor, lol.

Jeremy, call me about Monday sometime this week. My cells about dead and the charger's at work, but it's 480-437-4382. Home is 520-509 1518 if need be. Maybe I'll send the new intake and carb along so Terry has something to do next week,  >:D.

Then, maybe July or August we go look for 2Sav's "Sub", lol

Aw, come on Glenn.  Us NW'rs arent all bad.   ;D  Welcome to the site... Avenger

Can't wait to hear how you like the Duratec stuff.  I was always under the impression that to paint takes more prep (smooth surface/no sanding scratches/blocking for endless hours) the Gel but Gel takes more after spraying prep (wet sanding) than paint to get a smooth surface.  So the Duratec stuff flows out to the point that you don't have to do all the post spraying sanding??   That would be very cool and I wouldnt hesitate to go that way if that's how it shakes out.

Good luck and keep us posted

Huh. Kinda glad for the NW'rs, then  they leave us Zonans alone.... well kinda...... ;D

Not that I don't deserve what I get, mind you, lol
