So that's it. Canada is the one screwing up the weather.  Where is Rebel anyhow.  He needs to bring this rain back north where it belongs.

Now back to the topic at hand, who's got the fastest non racing setup.  The NW gang just stole another of the big hitters from down south.

"Stretch Limo" is a 21ft Eliminator Daytona with a 565 BBC by DNE Motorsports powering a custom jet drive. An MPD/Edelbrock Qwikdata system records the performance data, which in 2003 has been a best of 8.55/126+. Note the single 4 barrel carb! (Owner Marty Stretch has since sold this boat).

After Marty sold it the guy installed a 588" chev with a mag 14-71 and stand alone injection and now has sold it again. 
The new owners Matt & Kim Ringer are super cool friends of ours and we're all looking forward to getting this boat up north (where it belongs  )

Well, I'm probably not the best one to ask but when I talked to Tommy about whether I needed one, he asked me my plumbing setup -8 inlet lines and -10 outlet and he told me (for my application) that I probably didnt need one. 

Give him or Josh a buzz and see what they say.....

One of the NW gang took a nasty ass spill and I want to make sure my buds down south read about it and take all necessary precautions so they don't have the same (or worse) happen to them and I don't know where the best place is to post this. Please put it where you think it will have the most exposure and thanks.

A buddy up here had just dropped his friend off at the boat launch to go get the truck and trailer and thought he'd make one last run while waiting.  He was running a touch over 90 in his 21 TPR when the loader broke and sent the boat into a hard turn.  He ended up getting pitched out of the boat (through the windshield) and skipping through the water before coming to a nasty stop. Thank whoever you want that he was wearing his life jacket (which we as a group have been really pushing)  He ended up with a number of painful but for the most part minor injuries (separated his collar bone from his shoulder, cuts, bruised from head to toe).

If he hadnt had the jacket on......the injurys from the impact would have been significantly higher and our pal might not be here today as there was no way he was gonna be able to swim.

We as a group have now added a quick check of loaders to all the other stuff that needs a good look before setting out.  Also further spells out the need for all of us to wear our jackets.  This is the 3rd loader failure this year. 

Please guys, be careful and check this stuff over well.  I genuinely don't want to hear any of you hurt............Take care.....john

Yup, Tommys boat is a beast!  Alcohol burning blown and injected 19 footer.  Those are all pressure taps so he can track the pressures (which I know nuthing about)

Jrork went with the same deal if I'm not mistaken. I've been looking forward to see how it improves his rpm/mph.

Well, it's a little too early to give hard facts since I've only ran it once and had my fair share of motor issues but what I can tell you is the the Panther Energizer setup that Tommy and Josh put together worked fantastic.

With my old Panther setup the best I could do was the mid to high 60's at 5900 rpm and that was after talking at length to Steve at Panther and doing a ton of setup adjustments and fine tuning. I tried the Devcon epoxy he sold me, cleanedup the leading edges, replaced the water seal, adjusted the rideplate till I damn near wore the threads off the boals and no matter what, it'd cavitate out of the hole and then run great before it'd start cavitating at the top end. Only reason it would stop cavatating at 5900 is that was where my rev limiter is set.  As it was, it stopped accelerating after 5300 or so and the rest of the revs were just cavatation

With this new setup that Tommy and Josh hooked me up with, I can stab it out of the hole with no cavitation and it would accelerate with a nice steady pull. I can cruise at 2500 or 3000 and stay on plane whereas my old Panther it would fall off plane so it was either idle or wide open to move around.

Reverse on the Panther was sketchy at best whereas this new setup provides an excellent reverse function.

We were having a ball running it this last weekend for the first time and with my son and I in the boat we could pull 5400 and it felt like it was hauling the mail (no gps at the time).

Unfortunately, we soon started having some motor issues and could never repeat the 5400 pulls but on Monday a group of us set up a speed trap with a boat that had a Radar Gun.  At a semi sick running motor we still pulled 74.5mph at a measly 4800 rpm.

So, I can't say what the top speed of our boat is but I can say that with the old Panther pump we were at 5900rpm and the mid to high 60s and now with the Energizer kit we're at 4800 rpm and 74.5 mph.......with such a nicer cruising and reversing ability.

So with all that said, I'm a believer in this Energizer setup given that it literally bolts to the boat with the same 5 bolts that held the original Panther pump in.  

Good luck with whatever direction you choose but I'm exceptionally happy with my decision to go with this pump setup and most of all, the decision to go with JetBoatPerformance.....damn good people

are your carbs progressive?

If you mean progressive  between primaries and the secondaries, yes. If you mean progressive meaning it runs of one carb and then the other, no (if that's a silly statement, please excuse as I grew up in the tripower days with progressive carbs).

I'm refraining from posting up any pics of the girls until I see them post them up. There were plenty of cameras and I don't want to throw the girls under the bus on the internet if they don't want it out there.

motor is hurt? wha' happen'?

Full blown 1/4 race course marked out, 107 boats......I started out at damn near 6000 rpm with my son and I and two full tanks of fuel. By Sunday, I was down to 4800 wide open with just my son in the boat and blowin oil the whole pass.  We had a radar gun on Sunday and even hurt, it went thru the traps popping snorting and banging at 74.5 mph at 4800...... One bank it blued headers almost the end of the collector and a nice clean rusty red inside, the other bank is a more typical black carbon and a heat ring way up the collector.........hmmmm.... Didn't get to radar gun it when it was running hard but it felt.....gooooooooooood....(as long as it lasted)  
A nice fresheining up and some good fuel with a nicer mix of pulleys and we'll be doing the wild thing.............



Shit, Skip....it's only a hop skip and a jump from down there......come on up next Labor Day.......what a blast
