Hulls / Re: Need some help with Challenger Hull
« on: September 22, 2011, 08:49:09 PM »
Paperwork says 18&1/2 ft but it measures out at 18 ft on the dot. And im sorry for this dumb question but im still a little new to some boat terms... what's the "deck" on a jet boat? And by 1/4 stringer,  is that referring to only the stringers that the engine mounts to?

the deck on any closed bow boat is the top side of the hull forward of the passenger compartment/dash board. and yes the stringers are the wood that the motor mounts to.

What am i suppose to be asking Paul ? how much he would rebuild it for ?

Pick his brain apart. tell him what you have, what you want and what your budget is. tell him what you use it for/how you use the boat. just ask him any relavent question you can think of.

Welcome aboard. You now have a month to make sure your float is squared away and make it to the unofficial SCJB fall get together.

GS Marine. $500 with a used impeller, 12JC-A, to replace the trashed one I brought. Greg is in Norco now. Bit of a drive. I found someone in Pacoima after dropping mine at Gregs. Hell of a nice guy though.

First time having one rebuilt. Im gonna buy a spare fixer and learn to do it myself over the winter.

Jim Brock is in Pacoima and is also on this board as "Jim Brock". Hes a Comp Jet record holder so Im pretty sure he knows what hes doing. Also a nice guy.
Cyclone speed and marine. 818 890 1867

Jim Built and blueprinted my pump. he is also an ex drag boat racer and yes he is good and yes he is one hell of a nice guy.
