I have four of those. Three of them have like new tires. They are at my place at the Rio Del Colorado. You can have all four for free.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using SoCalJetBoats mobile app

Awesome brother that would be much appreciated. What is the most easy way to arrange getting those from you ?

Anyone have a pair of these laying around? Doesn't matter if they have tires or not I'm looking for a 14" 5lug . I'm also looking for thru transom headers for a olds

57
A real head scratcher - I know they don't interchange. My guess is the poster thinks they might be for either a 455 Olds, or a 454 Chevy...without photos nobody will ever know.
This is the picture he sent me

58
You have any pictures ? And how much ?

I want to buy a droop snoot for a berkeley. As well as a place diverter reverse bucket and some Logs or thru transom headers for an olds 455. I don't need snails. Let me know.

Jet Pumps / Re: What Silicone to use ?
« on: June 08, 2013, 11:38:47 PM »
Regular silicone from home d...GE 2 outdoor. Cheap and works well under water.
Alright I went with the GE2 silicone thanks a lot. Couldn't fond 3M silicone anywhere and $8 is a whole lot better then $29 anyways.

Anything at/below water line I only use 3M marine silicone.  Some argue that its "difficult to remove" but I'd rather it be difficult to remove than have a leak.  (note, dont use the 5200...)

Do you know any stores that might carry it around Rancho Cucamonga ?

Yes. The source of most "milkshaked oil" issues on the 455 Olds and 460 Ford most often can be attributed to the "Bathtub" style intake manifolds gaskets. Stay away from them at all costs. A phone call to Summit racing, or Jeg's can probably net you a replacement for that sheet metal part, if you feel it's necessary.

That being said, I can see it's purpose but is totally unnecessary if you have a windage tray in the pan, oil control mods, and keep the oil at a proper level. Smoothing and deburring the block underneath there would do wonders for oil scavenging to the pan. Also, the Cam is what's directly under there. Hot oil on the underside of the intake manifold would be the least of my worries. Some people with 455's don't have the EGR passages blocked off, which creates 10 times more heat in the intake manifold than the oil can.......   :screwy:

Thank you much. I'm going to take it apart and put a normal gasket in it.

You should be fine...I had an olds way back steel heads/mani an valley pan without issues. Just a good idea to open up the oil return in the heads. Its a great motor but you need to understand its issues.

So you would say just go with regular intake gasket and put that piece in and call it a day ? I'd rather do it right. I already have oil restrictors in the mains and a windage tray.

If your steel head and steel mani sure but I wouldn't run a valley pan if your mani is aluminum. What you have looks fine.

That's just a picture I'm using for an example the problem is that I already built my whole motor and left that part out because it was rusted out. And I used a valley pan gasket with cast heads and an aluminum intake manifold. Is that going to be a problem ?

it keeps the hot oil splashing around in the bottom of the motor from the intake manifold... yet allows the oil to drain back down.  Its good to have there yes.
.

Do you know the name of it ? The one I have is way to rusted to put back in.

What Is the purpose and the name if the metal thing in the middle of the lifters ? This is on an olds 455. Is it absolutely necessary to have this ?

73
Are they headers or logs ?
