  I started thinking last night about those salmon eggs in my grandpas Glastron and was talking to my brother, we were cracking up because that boat smelled so bad like fish and bait but we all had a blast and learned to water ski behind it. Remember the kids double skiis with the rope between them?

  Did they site you or just tell you to trailer it? We have a blown injected deal we want to just late afternoon putt around. I can handle the trailer but don't want some huge noise ticket.

  First I would let the daughters boyfriend know you are cleaning your guns tonight! I got rid of points and run a DUI dist. they make them for everything and use 1 wire. n the dyo the kick as hard as a 6A deal without the headache. They also have a marine one for about $300 bucks. Trouble free for years. just my opinion but ditch the points, those are bow and arrow days...

Consider maybe going to the KB forged pistons, not only will they be more durable, there is one with an 18.3 cc dome, would be more like 9.3-1.  They have two series of forged pistons, one slightly cheaper than the other.

Also, you could have the heads surfaced down a bit to give a little bump to compression also, regardless of which pistons you choose.

  I agree I just took .030 off my 049's done it before really helps acceleration and throttle response for a few bucks. Also you know your gasket surface is square.

  I was just at parker last weekend awsome time! Kinda still a new Dad (2yr old son) so I might have to take advantage of fathers day! My new engine i'm not done with but the old stocker runs 58 gps all day ! I have a place 5 miles above Blue Water so when I trailer down, where do I launch?

 I have a holley 800 came off a basicly stock 454. My buddy asked me to look at a co workers new mild 454 carb that his engine builder told him this carb was no good. I went through it seemed great cme back with it and he bought a new carb, same popping problem. I went over and seen started with the basics.....and yes the firing order was wrong.   I just got back from Riverland (Parker) about 2 hours ago. What a killer weekend! Nobody there! Was kinda cool at times but around 85 during day time. Next trip is weekend after 4th of july unless you guys mave a meet.

Wow! I would dump those heads and get some 049's! (oval ports) Also I would have a reputable engine/head guy cc the heads BEFORE you buy any pistons. Also check deck height. Just trying to help, good luck
