Boat Showcase / Re: New guy in the house.
« on: January 05, 2011, 08:18:39 AM »
I dont know if you have had that boat in the water but it leaks bad. I think there is a crack in the bottom of the boat. Last year the guy that owned it was named Brian and we went out with him a few times. The bilge pump ran 90 percent of the time we were out. I looked every where around the pump and the back of the boat but i couldnt find where the water was coming from.I crawled under the boat and i couldnt see any holes. On the driver side under the floor in the back the water would just flow in so i assume its cracked along one of the strakes. Im not trying to be a dick or talk shit i just thought you should know.

bump....something just made my skin crawl for the last time...so its time to bring this one back up.

People need to know proper grammar when using Sale vs Sell.

"Sale" is a NOUN meaning "the act of selling"

"Sell" is a VERB meaning to sell, or exchange something for money or other goods.

Examples:

When using it as a verb (action)...."I hope I sell my boat" NOT "I hope I sale my boat"

In the event using it as "sells" (3rd person singular present)...."I hope my boat sells" NOT "I hope my boat sales"

When using it as a noun ...."My boat is for sale" NOT "My boat is for sell"

Class is dismissed.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Alot water in my oil! Help!!
« on: August 05, 2010, 09:42:15 AM »
Did you run the boat after it filled up with water? I ask this because the only way the oil will turn into a milkshake is if it runs. If water just went into the dipstick it wouldnt be mixed in the oil like that. The water and oil have to run through the oil pump to be mixed together. I hate to say it but you might have a bigger problem.

Twistys sit a little lower than the regular Bassetts. If all else fails Bassett will make you a custom set or find some upsweeps.

Thats a bad ass float! Last year a guy gave me a Glencoe trihull with a 351 Cleavland and a Jacuzzi YJ in it. My buddy is a ferd guy and he has always wanted a Cleavland in his 65 Mustang soooo... i thought this is all you. The boat was a little rough, let me rephrase that, the boat was really rough but we got it running and took it out one night to try it before he put any money in it. With me sitting on the gunnel next to the motor I was throttle control and he steered up front. Mind you there is no seats or floors in this thing, anyways we take off and the boat planes right out and rides bitchen. So he rigged two high back plastic bucket seats out of a buggy and a bench seat i gave him so he could use it for the summer. Well the maiden voyage didnt go so well and the front timing chain/water inlet cover popped a hole and filled the motor with water. The breathers popped off and had a one foot geyser of milkshake coming out of them.  We are rebuilding the motor right now and he is working on cosmetic stuff. He loves this f-in boat and im happy to see him get it back on the water. He will stoked to see the pic of your on here and when i get a chance ill post some pics of his boat.
