Great boat. Just leaning toward an open bow. I'm still not sure what has been done to the pump?? The kid I got it from did really know either? I know engine is fresh. You could eat off the lifter valley.

I put some custom exhaust tips and made the resonators adjustable for sound pitch. New tires on the trailer a bunch of other stuff. Thing runs great. I'm in St George ut. About 90 miles from Vegas about 250 from Havasu

I have a crusader I'm selling. Big enough for all the kids. Engine is covered. I have young kids to. Nothing would ruin a day on the water like third degree burns.. LOL. I would possibly deliver too 😊

Hey thanks. It's a good boat but I've got my eye on another one or I would be keeping it! Like u said I haven't had the boat very long. They guy that I got it from had already installed the drop and plate before I got to it. So I couldn't truthfully tell you what kind of difference there was without it. But he did tell me it helped tremendously! The crusaders are a heavy boat compared to the rest so anything you can feel in the seat of your pants would have to be pretty drastic! LOL

20.5' Crusader. BBC 454, hei ignition, Gillman aluminum logs & sails. Berkeley pump w/ work done. I think it's a bronze impeller (I'll try and get pics), loader, Place diverter full droop snoot and ride plate. Hyd control on nozzle. And upgraded nozzle as well. Adjustable exhaust inserts as well. I haven't had this boat very long. But I have my eye on another one! Hopefully someone out there is looking for one like this or knows someone that is! I'm in St George UT. But I would probably deliver to location within reason. Asking $6,000 obo. Maybe finders fee if you help me find her a home 😊

I wouldn't be afraid to run vacuum secondary. It won't fuel until the engine is pulling enough vacuum to open the secondaries. I'm not sure the specs on that cam? But the only place it may not pull a lot of vacuum is at an idle. In that case it doesn't matter anyway what the secondaries do. That's why they use them on standard marine applications (i.e. Hand throttle).. Just my opinion though

I work for PDI. Basically we make BIG horsepower for big rigs and we do resto and custom work on them to. So when you hear a guy say there's no money in trucking he's either lying or not doing it right! LOL

I have seen guys stack bags of sand or manure or anything else with a tough bag that conforms slightly to the hull. A lot of weight to move around and a bunch of sand or $h!t kicking around after your done! But surprisingly makes a pretty steady foundation under the boat that you know won't fall over! Then just spread the crap around your yard when your done! LOL

All depends on where that hp comes from,  if it's at 8,000rpm, then you need a stainless. Under 5,500, you're good.

So it's more of an rpm issue and rotating mass? I was told by the guy I bought the boat from that the pump had work done to it. He didn't know exactly what though. How can you tell without pulling the pump apart what is in it? (As far as aluminum or stainless)

No rocks yet! But I've only had the boat a couple months. Been working some bugs out of it. Using it on one of the local lakes so nothing real shallow. Probably head to the river in the next week or two.

Dumb question.... What makes a stainless impeller so much better than aluminum? Wear factor? I wouldn't think they deflect like a stern drive prop... I'm new too so just humor me 😁
