Old's take it to Mendello in corona ca, his dad Joe was the king of old's motors, and if you can find a true joe Mendello motor, running they are worth big bucks. It's all in the oil mapping on those motors. But the cost a lot to build correctly, and if parts break, Chevys are cheaper to build, ford 460 great motors, cost is in between Chevy and old's for parts. I would stay away from a plan old's. Also Check engine hours, over 250 on a old's its time for rebuild.

I helped do the boat, was good friend of mines. He was asking about the other day. It had 562 in it, I know motor didn't go with the hull. See if it's still alive and any pictures of it. Thanks!

They can still have sub floors. I have a light lay up and have sub floor. My deck is crazy flex. I have added to it under side. I have kids and I know one of them will walk on it. And wanna save my paint job.

You will Know it's a light lay up by the glass. Basket is light, also for most light lay ups, you will have full Stringers, and 1/4 or 3/4 stringers on the outside, with ribs, to add strength to the hull. Deck will also move like crazy, and if it is do walk sit on the deck.
