so new motor again, after first 489 stroker roller lifter disintegrated after 20 minute break in ,taking the block with it , contacted my engine builder Dan Hutchens performance rebuilt motor ,new block motor spec to 7500rpm comp jet race motor ,right ok so motor breaks in, been out 5 times this year runs great ,then I'm at river yesterday and spins a rod bearing what the F huh I was ready for Parker so here I go again pull the motor put in back up or take it back to the same freaking engine builder ,don't freaking think so!! can't tell you how pissed off I am ,couldn't make burley Idaho race because China flu and no money now this well back up motor and nostalgia race here I go 😠but after my football game of course GO HAWKS😎

I've been using brad peen oil in all my motors ,pulled the pan on a 5year motor last summer , bearings were great and I abused that 468 big chev love the green oil, never heard any bad news about royal purple my cousin uses it in his nos big mopar no complaints 😎

Running a old Motorola alternator with a regulater on backs told this thing is no longer available so I bought a 1 one wire power master great piece but it's to big for my plate mount in front has anyone out there use a mini alt and if so , what kind I don't want to rebuild the Motorola as I'm told it produces 37 amps and I got a stereo with subs and a msd ignition and so on and need more power thanks

Have 2 edelbrock #1407 750 cfm mechanical secondaries with about 30 minutes run time were on a tunnel rammed big chevy but went to Holley 850cfms instead still have tuning disc and orignal boxes ran clean non ethanol fuel like new 275 $ a piece obo thanks

I have a rail and plate system, thought I might seal of the flex plate and bellhousing with a cover to try and eliminate whatever water I can, I wanted to run at the drags this year in Oregon but the Governor decided that Riots are better then us boat racing and having fun , last year's motor got me 12.50 at 84 mph this year I got more cubic inches and aluminium heads but can't race freaking political bullshit anyway ,I'm going try sealing it of first, thanks for the suggestions and advice every one hope all is well and you all can get to the water some sun, jet boating family and fun😎

Most of the water is coming over the back or wake board boats I'm on the river it gets pretty choppy probably most of the problem is how low the engine sets in the boat the bellhousing sits about a inch to a inch and a half from the bottom the bilge pump works great but when I'm sitting in the boat and a wave hits or a tug goes buy water gets in and the motors running I'm screwed I know Kodiak engines has a bell housing that mounts the starter on top I've had this sanger for 12 years love it but guess I need too move every thing to my Rogers the motor sits higher and forward more with a driveshaft and keep to lake's thanks guys

So I'm having starter problems keeping one to last longer than a month I'm using a 9100 power master mini starter seems water is traveling up the flex plate to the starter bendix getting water inside and click click nothing was going to try a msd starter anyone using anything else ? Talked to power master they say you can't do much about it same thing with the rebuild guy down the street, anybody got opinions? Thanks
