hey super jet,im sorry to sound like a total greenhorn but what does the term "porposing" mean? is the "Hook" your speakin of refer to the hull actually bowing in a convex shape? 

Proposing is just that.... Imagine how a dolphin swims..... That's a porpoise, when the nose bounces. The "hook" is and actual hook in the rear of the hull. And "rocker" is just the opposite.

I have a Superjet. I love the boat. They came standard as quarter stringer boats with a full floor(foam filled) they are all built like a brick shit house. As far as pre purchase your inspection should be the same as any other boat.( stingers floors etc) a lot of SJ's I hear of have a porpoising problem due to the hook in the hull and my guess is being magnified over time from sitting. My boat with the orig 460 topped out at a gps'd 72 mph when the the motor let go. So they run pretty well. For a heavy boat. Even though they are a very shallow v bottom with an extremely shallow entry they(mine) still handles your average afternoon chop pretty well.

Until lately, I haven't seen shit on or abt these things even on the forums, I wore out the gears of Google trying to search for info on them..... That's why I said before I'm glad to see the sprint owners popping up on here, might b able to get some constructive input..... Ill def try to make the avi, or at least make an appearance but first I've got to redo the carbs, they're tired

I don't have much to add other than the fact that, yes they are pretty rare. And yes they are Bitchen boats. I had a sprint spider(balsa floors) bought over the phone two weeks before I purchased my Sanger...... Unfortunately the sprint was nowhere near as advertised and I passed..... I still wish I would have bought the boat, just for the cool factor they have.

SuperJets are a delta pad hull

I weld everyday for work and I can tell you right now that doesn't look safe and there is no way in hell I would tow that boat, on that trailer..... Looks to me like you are welding with flux core.in my opinion that shit is only good for repairing fences out in a field. Also of you are welding that with a 110 welder it is nowhere near hot enough to properly/safely weld that material.  A job like this(major trailer modification) needs to be done by someone with experience. This isn't a dig on you at all, just would rather not potentially hurt  yourself or others.....
