Hey Mark, we were at the Davemeisters the other night with n8 trying to twist his arm into going.Good morning Danny I'll call n8 today.

Not Ted haven't had Trg do one up till I decide on what I'm gonna run. Then the middle one.
So a lil update do not need engine anymore last night i drove to madera ranchos and bought a fresh 429 built at advance motors in fresno ca came with receipts and a brand new edelbrock carb 750 manual choke and a mallory billet electronic dizzy a new performer 460 intake manifold brand new hv oil pump and all reciepts from jegs and summit so with all that i only paid a whopping 800 bucks total so i scored ! but need to change the engine over to forged pistons and marine cam ,i need to buy a marine oil pan for a bbf 460 so pm me if u have one available i have cash !!! also wanna buy some nice logs and snails cause i have a set of h2985 hardin marine center rise manifolds and cannot figure them out im thinking im supposed to plumb them like a set of headers almost with a gate valve to control water flow to them,then i was thinking the logs are better cause they kinda pre-heat the water before entering the block im still researching it all so i will figure it out!!!anyone that has info for me look in the project section im gonna start a thread !!! Whats been done to the heads.(rivertard).

Hello.. Im wondering which way the suction seal in the main part of the pump faces. I cant quite make it out on the pdf pic Im looking at. It makes sense to me that the cupped side..side with the tension spring should face the bearing in both the pump body, and the cap. These are the seals that seal the thrust bearing if Im using the wrong terminology. You are right both to the inside.(rivertard).

Sounds more like an air pocket in the pump. Its fairly normal for some boats. Some times it takes a minute for the pump the clear out the trapped air. If its a big problem for you there is a small bleeder valve that you can add to the top of the bowl (prime a jet) that helps get the air pocket out. ;)x-2(rivertard).
I just recently purchased a new jet boat. The old one had a small gate valve coming off the jet to adjust the pressure. My new boat has no valve. I simply comes off the jet, has a garden hose connection that is capped and then goes to the front of the engine where it T's off and into the engine and thermo kit. I have read that you can damage the gaskets running with full pressure at high RPM. My last boat had an aftermarket pressure relief valve so I never really worried about it. Haven't put it into the water yet so if I need to change some plumbing Ill do it before the lake trip. ThanksRun a gate valve off the pump.........That pump can put 150 PSI in that engine. The gaskets are rated for 15 to 24 LBS. (rivertard).
