do you have a distribution point somewhere or are you just wiring EVERYTHING straight to the battery?  your charging circuit should be completely seperate from anything else dash wise if you're running a single wire alternator.

id start by pulling the battery so you dont blow up.  address the fuel issue first, its the most serious.  once thats taken care start tracing each wire and what its hooked up to, where it goes, etc. having one of these little guys to connect everything to right at the battery helps a lot.

one issue i have is that you say somethings shorting out.  *EVERYTHING* in your boat should be fused for safety sake.  the last thing you need is something shorting out, causing a fire and blowing your boat up with your leaky gas tank.

i use one of these:

Koo thanks for the info ima Syphon the gas out right now n start to pull the tank... Then go from there... Its aluminum so i can prolly weld it if its small right?

Well last time out found had a bad alternator then this weekend i continued popping inline fuse by ignition as soon as i turn key to on position. Had a buddy in bullhead check the wires n everything is getting ground... Possibly a short? Something touching up by the gauges? Wen i went under the bow to check The gas fumes were ridiculous... Leads me to think there has to b a leak.. So we werent brave enough to check those wires with all those fumes. Now i need to pull out the full bow tank check it and then find this short or watever keeps grounding... Should i just rewire the boat? Wat u guys think? Anybody wanna lend a helping hand on either of these projects? I got beer lol n i can pay if need be.... Just tired of takin the boat out to bullhead n only able to get one run then getting stuck in the water... Thanks in advanced!!
