Sent from my iPad using SoCalJetBoats mobile app
same thing happen to me few months ago, lucky I had a full upgrade avaliable. I also found out for like 75 to 80 bucks u can get your iPhone fixed by Apple. Maybe give them a shot and you can always sell it after u get a new one.

my question is if I come without my boat cause engine is out of it is this a show you see on land or is it a in water show and cruise?
Any swap meet stuff as well?
it's a gathering on water about 4 or 5 miles south of where we launch. Maybe a few guys might bring stuff out for sale but nothing swap meet style. Jyeager is putting it on and there are a ton of guys going. Last year they had a huge success.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: BB vs SB
« on: August 27, 2014, 02:09:37 PM »

Is this 6.2 a fuel injected LS motor?  That's a whole different animal IMO.  Traditional BBC v.s. SBC to me comes down to bigger boat, bigger motor when talking jet  boats.  GT explained why pretty well.  I would say the cost difference between  the 2 builds is minimal at best, not enough to choose one over the other, so why short change your ride.  Why pull the nuts out of a small block to get it to do the same things a mild build BBC can do for years with out trying hard, and only maintenance is oil changes.  Fuel consumption again isn't  really part of the  equation, maybe a couple gallons a weekend, 10.00 dollars?
Change the drive to say an IO then all this changes.

Now if you want to build a 6.2 MPFI closed loop motor that would be a cool motor to build and put in a day cruiser, maybe even throw a turbo on it just because.  Someday that will be a build I'd like to do.
yes sir that's the motor he has in his boat and like I said that motor does work in his open bow shock wave and it's a heavy boat.

Everyone that has commented has made valid points for sure, my experience with bbc to sbc is not as extreme as everyone else although I do run a bbc open loop cooling in my 21 open bow and it has plenty of power and runs great no issues nothing. Kroggy just bought a 21 open bow shock wave with the 6.2L sbc fuel injected closed loop, and that motor has shocked me every time I get into or drive his boat. the sbc has plenty of power to push that heavy open bow around the river at a comfy 55 - 57 mph while getting great mpg I think the *** fills up every 4 trips as oppose to me filling up every trip. If your wanting to build a sick ass hp boat I'd definetly go with a bbc if your wanting good power and don't wanna spend as much and have a bad ass motor that will get great mpg then maybe sbc is the way to go. Just my .02 and again I'm no big engine guru just a fellow jet boat guy sharing my knowledge.

I got my original guy that does all my machine work. I usually do all my work but with my new job, I hardly have time to do anything so I was gonna just have them do it. But nvm on this seductive speed and marine. I'ma just stay loyal to my machinist and have him do my BBC.  Rather spend the extra hundred bucks then send my money to someone I don't know
that's a good plan for sure 👍👍👍

Damn.. I was excited too cus they were giving me a good price.  And I live about 3.5hrs away. I was just gonna mail them my pistons n rods and they had a block for me
I'd make sure there giving u 100% of what u want and make sure it's all on paper signed and documented and I wouldn't send any $$$ I'd also make the 3.5hr trip to pick it up to see there shop and also faces. If you decide to go with him. Not sure where u live or the price they quoted u but like the saying goes if it's too good to sound true . . . It probably is!

Im not trying to run over anyone or talk crap about anyones business, but if this is the Adam from hawaiian just cover your bases. Ive heard of lots of shady stuff from him and his dad

X2 on this
Adam and his dad Wayne use to have team Hawaiian boats n i think Hawaiian power boats and like uncle Bobby said make sure u do ur research they are not straight shooters by far. I know kroggy was gonna get a new team Hawaiian and all they where worried about was laying for the boat cash in advance!!!!! If it's the same Adam there in Corona not to far from danna amd shockwave Adam also shares a building with the owner of commander boats. Just my .02 brotha be safe and ask tons of questions.
