Nice ;D

It seems very restrictive to me. It takes alot of effort to open that check valve. I installed a standard 90 in one tank and left the other the way it is with the anti siphon valve. I have reinstalled the clay smith mechanical pump and ran -8 steel braided line from the fuel water seperator to the pump (steel braided line is addicting I can see alot more in my future $$$). I am going to take it out tomorrow and see what happens (weather permiting).

I will report back with my  findings. I'm hoping this is finally the fix...

Good luck  ;)

Grab a standard 90 and throw it back in there.

Ball check valve what ???
maybe im the only one that has never had them in my tanks, but it does make sense.... :sly:

« on: June 24, 2009, 06:28:23 PM »
What kind of rpm's are you spinning the anchor at ??? if you over carb , its the same as undercarb ( kinda )

650cfm straight from Holleys calculator ;)

Oh and if the engine is covered , then yes you need the "marine" carb

Jet Pumps / Re: help!!!!
« on: June 24, 2009, 04:26:07 PM »
well i took my boat out for the first time its a 78 kachina w a bbf460 the boat ran great all weekend and the last day i took it out i wasnt sucking no water in through the jet just seeing what the possible reasons of why this happened

The day i tried to get my boat wet, i had the same problem...

It was just an air pocket in the bowl, i got no water to the engine and no thrust from the pump (at Idle) i didnt even try to take her out..........by the time i realized i wasn't getting water  the engine was already at 190
