WTB / Re: Do you have a puke tank for sale ??
« on: January 25, 2012, 04:03:32 PM »
I would but aren't you guys on the metric system? I wouldn't know how to set the flow meter in liters per hour or whatever it is hahaha! If we started a welding thread people could post pics and I could help that way. A lot of the times it's wrong angle, travel speed, heat input, or arc length.

yeah thats why we weld everything with a 6011 root pass to blow all the cow shit out of the way then a pass or 2 with 7018 to fill up the gap. works every time  ;)

Projects / Re: my first project 73 kona

all you did with 600 paper is create bigger scratches to get rid of . I would probably use 800 now before 1000 then 1500 then 2000 then 3000 then sheep wool pad then black foam pad then finish with a yellow foam pad.the beat place to get paper and supplies is an autobody supply shop.if you cant find one ask  a local bodyshop who they deal with,i ordered all my paint and supplies from TCP Global in San Diego but I believe they also have retail stores in CAli. they are great to deal with and ship quick.

The one cylinder that is down 30 psi could just be something stick in the valve seat. Take off the valve cover and whack the intake and the exhaust valves a couple times with a mallet or dead blow. If that don't work try spinning the valve and see if that helps before you go tearing anything apart.

good advice Marc had that same thing on a truck motor years ago did just that and it fixed the problem
