The bbc 454 is out of an early 80s k5 blazer .... does it swap over easy? What's needed? Thanks ... I plan on getting boat ready within weeks .... I don't like to waste time if I can get it on the water. Soon ... want it done .. and have alot of time available to do so ...

you are going to need motor mounts for a BBC first and foremost also you will need to get a pto for a chevy and if it were me I would get a new driveline while I was at it also.

We are hoping to get her on the water by this weekend or maybe in the middle of next week. Probably Castaic or Pyramid. Don's got her over at Blairs Speed Shop because he didn't trust himself! LOL
I hope we do you and Cindy proud. we'll certainly try, but we are slightly (very) green since The Moo is our second boat.

both are decent lakes. castaic is nice but its a dry lake and elizabeth canyon gets full quick(ish). its nice because the jet skiers ccan't roam the lake so they are not stirring up the water. Pyramid is nice because it is normally not too busy. the sheriff's are not as gung ho so you can get away with a little more than ususal ( speed and lake beverages) both are within minutes of me and I will end up at one of em this sunday.

With the mufflers it wasn't bad.
I ran mine once without the mufflers and it didn't sound bad just didn't like the whole reversion issue i had with the water dumps in the tailpipes.it killed my motor comming into the no wake zone. I personally like my ot pipes with the mufflers it sounds tough, but subtle at the same time

I hate to bring this back to the top but I figured I would let everyone know what I got... I ended up buying a Garmin E-trex Venture HC, the HC means it has a higher sensitivity antena and the C means it is in color . Just bought it a fee minutes ago so now it is time to see how the Fock this thing works. I paid waaaaayyyy too much for it but I figured It will be the only one I need to buy so whatever, its only money right?

Looks like my Dad's old Haskell bubble deck(had BBC and panther). I was told that the Haskell was a splash of an Eliminator so IF the boat is laid up nicely and is structurally sound it should be a very nice boat. Sorry don't know anything about Pantera in general.

yeah it is pretty far for just a weekend trip but I have made it many times, of course I live a few hours closer to it than you. If I were you I would head for the delta, if I were itching for some river action.

I have a Voodoo cam in my Sanger (460) that I ordered from Summit. I ordered the bigger cam of the two that they offer and it doesnt sem much bigger than the factory one that was in it. But if you are lookinf for a good all around cam it is worth it.
