Then there's Ron in highland. Lots of parts and knowledge in that guy. He worked for Tom Papp for years and has the knowledge and parts supply but he wants retail prices on everything. He runs his own boat shop out of his huge shop on his property and when dealing with him expect to pay shop prices. It's his job and only source of income and he's pretty firm on his prices. If he has something you need like Ernie expect to pay. Although he is a little more lenient on his prices than Ernie and is willing to negotiate alittle he has in the past hiked his prices from phone calls and texts upon arrival. Which is bs and it's why I don't really deal with him anymore. Although like earnie in person he's a cool guy to shoot the hit with and he will talk for hours.

Just what I have gathered over he years dealin with these guys.

And sorry for the split posts. For some reason after half page on my iPhone app I can't see anything ht I'm typing and yet it posts ? Kinda wierd but hopefull this posts, the last text I can see is "hiked his" an after that it's blank.

Don't know why it split me up but here it goes again.

Then there's highland Ernie. He normally wants top dollar for old haggard parts and in the case he has something that's in good shape he usually wants more than top dollar. But he's hit and miss. It's not always the case and he does have some parts that he's selling for a good price and it's worth the drive. In person he's a pretty cool guy to shoot the shit with and can normally shave 20 bucksor more off something. I haven't lost hope on him but if you really need something and he has it. Expect to pay.

Seeing how your local I'll let you in on a little secrete with these local boat guys and hopefully it's with something to you.

I have delt with mentone dan in the past, probably two years since the last time I saw him. For a while he was a decent guy and was fair. Then he pissed off a few of the wrong people and got black balled hardcore. And now he's turned into a complete ignorant a$$ and I truly believe there is something wrong upstairs.

He gets desperate for cash, lists stuff and as soon as someone shows interest he gets excited and hikes his prices or starts acting wacked. Not really worth dealing with.

Yah I have read a few reviews stating what you guys have said. if I remember correctly one review stated the new 3+  when synced with the app on a smart phone you can review and edit videos and post directly from the app to YouTube and what not. Which is a new feature for the 3+.  Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.

The No Wake Zone / GoPro experts
« on: October 21, 2013, 10:02:56 AM »
So I'm thinking about buying this new gopro3+ black and the 400 tag for the camera is scaring me. Are they really worth it and how well are they for regular video and pictures. I keep hearing about this fish eye problem and would hate to have all my kids pictures look goofy. It will be used for lake and glamis pictures of corse but it will mainly be used as more so a family camera for events and memories.

Any advise? I know brad is an expert on these and hopefully you can chime in but anyone else have any input

I often use my boat to go fishing and you can see the terror in the other fishermens eyes when they see me come screaming to the spot at 4k across a glass lake at 630 in the morning. And when I drop anchor they loose it. Hey I don't have a trolling motor and there lucky I don't leave it running to troll around. lol.

The trailer is at parents house so I'll try to get down there this weekend. But I'm pretty sure it's not a bent tube drop. It's a welded drop

Got a spicer axle out of a older golf cart. Motor, drum brakes, tires and all taking up space. Need to give up the hopes of using it to make a mini desert truck and get it out of the garage.

That's the trailer, it was the single axle under my kona as well but not pics or measurements of the axle itself off hand. Have you tried getting ahold of Madskillz to build you a axle?

Bump and I have a berk pump for sale as well. Spins freely, no nicks or gouges that I can remember. Been awhile since I have looked at it. Ran it for a few trips this season with no problems before swapping in my rebuilt jg pump. Jb suction housing with c bowl. Will post pictures tonight. Like to get what I paid for it 450 or best offer.

Most polishers charge around 100-150 for an intake. You'll spend more than that buying everything you need and beer to drink while you do it not to mention the hours of sanding and polishing.
