Does anyone make patchs to repair headers? I picked up some rusty bassetts and they're pretty thin around the weep holes. I was thinking of making some sheet patchs and hammering them to fit and then weld them. But just wondering if anyone actually makes pre-bent patchs.

We're about 80 miles away and it shook the sh*t out of our house. We all ran outside. There were two trucks loaded down with ceramic pipe across the street from my backyard and they were rocking pretty good. Could see telephone poles swinging. We had aftershocks all day and night. I was the only supervisor that went to work Sunday night. The others called in sick. I got stuck staying Monday morning because a bunch more called in Monday morning. They're predicting another big one tonight. It's actually from an old Volcano that they speculate could be getting ready to errupt again.

I bought 10 magazines for my AR15. I figure thats all I'm gonna need to survive lol.

I got my wife good this morning. Our water heater went out yesterday, so I called her this morning and told her that I checked all over town and no one had one in stock and we'd have to wait till monday for a new one. She was pissed, ranting and raving about the sorry azzed businesses here and how there's no way shes waiting till Monday when I said "April Fools". It's gonna be a cold night out in the dog house tonight, but it was worth it.

I used to do this to old diner tables and chairs where you didn't want to screw up the chrome but wanted it clean. Take some Windex and some Aluminum foil. Fold the foil into a square, spray the windex on and use your manly powers to scrub the scum away. You'll be surprised how good it works.

Sounds logical. Aluminum softer than steel wool, should leave fewer scratchs. I'll have to try this one on my wheels.

For me, my step dad convinced my mom to buy a jet boat after they got married. I can't remember the year, but it was a Ranger Banshee with 460 & Jacuzzi jet. We had that about a year and they traded it in for a 78 Hawaiian Daycruiser. It was 28' had a 454 & Berk JC pump. We went to all the So Cal lakes, river, and even the ocean (several trips to Catalina Island), but our favorite lake was Nacimiento or "Nasty Meadows" as we called it lol. We'd ski in the summer and fish in the winter on that big azz yellow & orange daycruiser. About 1981 it was stolen while in the shop getting the engine and pump freshened up (had put a blower on it and blew the bottom end). So we ended up finding a 18' bubble deck (can't remember the brand, but it was Tahiti copy). It was pretty bad with a blown 496 in it. My Dad sold it right before him and my Mom split up. I always dream of having my own but my first two wives wouldn't even dream of it. In 2006 I met my wife Sue and she loved boats and the river, so in spring 07 I found a 78 Python with BBF and Berk pump and bought it and the rest is history. In 2009 I sold the Python and bought a 78 Record 7 to restore. Financial issues forced me to sell it and in January this year, I picked up a 78 Eliminator Bubbledeck. I've got a 501ci BBF for it. It had a prepped JC already in it and the interior is in good shape. I've got carpet, starter, alternator & bracket, plumbing, and two Dominator carbs to buy and I'll have her on the water. Hopefully by this July!!! We'll see. Anyway, that's how I got into jets.
