Wow, I kinda expected to get lit up on this subject but I'm thrilled to see that you all are thinking along the same lines I am.  These types of boats bring a level of risk that we accept but the least we can do is minimize it to the best of our ability.

Even though we got a lot of cool stuff with the Sanger , one half the Cav stuff was missing ,Josh made this Today out of a used prop shaft and a block of Aluminum ,Almost done !

I'm gonna get on the soapbox for a second and say to wear your life jacket and please please be safe.

We lost a fellow Washington boater to a horrible crash and though he had all the gear on, we still lost him.  Yah, he was running a bit more of an extreme boat but it don't matter.  ALL of our old boats are fast enough to hurt or (God forbid) kill someone.

Please do me a favor and think about throwing a jacket on before heading out.  I'm pretty sure nobody's gonna bust your ass up for wearing a jacket.  Speaking personally here, I would love to see jackets more and I'll admit that I have not been good about this but have recently began listening to Jan (man I hate doing that) and purchased a Lifeline. It'll be on me all the time and if I ever post a picture of me running without it, please call me out.

I don't care if you all you guys can run a is phuckin innertube around you, it's better than nuthin.  For gods sake, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!!! I don't wamt to hear someting has happened to any of you guys that have welcomed me into the SoCal gang though I don't belong.

Thanks so much guys.  While I'm in the land of Offshore boats and Jet's are a rarity, the folks like Skip at HotSeat and Josh, Rhonda. Grumpy at JetBoatPerformance and Tony & Jerry at Skagen Boats have not only helped me make this happen but have encouraged me along the way.  Hat's off to all of them, they've gone beyond a supplier of service/parts and are now part of this POS family.  Jan has already started thinking that she wants to put together a Thank You board that lists everyone. That is in no way intended to slight that fact that all of you that are 2,000 miles away have welcomed me into this gang of misfits and provided me the encouragement to keep at this even though I'm WAY over my head.........

PS.....Just got an invite from a guy that is willing to tow me by water to a Performance Boat Redevous that he puts on if it's not done by the end of the month. Regardless, if I go I'll make sure these fine folks mentioned above get plenty of props in a sea of 36' cats and 40+' V's that tend to show up for it..........

Crap!!!   I started catching up on this thread and was thinking about what I was going to post to show how impressed I was on the looks of that boat in the water........then I read you were polishing it up to sell it and I couldnt believe you'd be able to walk away from that beautiful boat...........and then I read and see that you have you motor tore down.... Damn man, you're killing me.

Sorry to see you have some problems with the motor but I'm sure you'll have it fixed in no time............good luck.........john

Yup, called my "former" interiour dude two times, sent him pics of the wood, emailed him 3 times.....told me on the phone that he'd get back to me in a flash (1 week ago).... I done with him.

PM'd Lucky Stiff (The Great Stiff One) and he responded instantly with suggestions and answer to my questions, has called me a couple times since with ideas and advice and is all over it.  Needless to say, he got my business.  Great guy and I can't wait to get the stuff posted up in the hull.  It's gonna look killer!!!!

   Thanks.  Money was no object as I searched the globe for that wheel......actually, I got it from REX 3 years ago for some regoddamndiculas price.  I bet Tommy can come up with something similar. I can't remember what it cost exactly but it was real cheap.

I did get a chance to hook it up to the truck and jockey it around the driveway/shop.  It does look good on the road if I don't say so myself. Now, if Tommy would just make a bigger sticker for my windows so I can do a better job of advertising..........
