If you want performance I would switch to an MSD distributor and ignition

Thanks for all the input. I have looked for a placecraft but they are all sold or out of my budget. Any idea if the boat below is anygood. The owner says placecraft mold. It's an ultra tunnel based off the gen 1 placecraft. They are normally heavy from what I've been told.

Hello Im in the market for my first boat. I am hoping to get some input. I am looking at a southwind dragster, eliminator sprint, and tx19 gullwing. I will be only at the colorado river (Blythe). I really like the SW dragster that fear a small wake might sink it which could be way off base I dont know. Also I have never seen one turn and wont like it if you have to slow way down to change direction. I would like to be able to get close to 100mph in what ever I end up with. Please give me some input so I dont end up with something I dont want.Swtd is fine on the lower river. Put a slash gard on it if you want. They are kinda hard to find now days though.
thanks
Blythe is where we will have it. We have a few guys in so far.

Do you guys know how rare it is to get smooth water on that lake on any weekend? You are more likely to get calm waters on the river. Setting up a drag race on the lake is a terrible idea. If it was such a good idea, why dont LUCAS run races there? Havasu was a bad idea and look what happened. 3 out of 3 races canceled due to poor water conditions.I agree with brad here. Even if the lake is smooth, there can be rollers that come out of no where. I would rather run on the river where water conditions can be seen and some what controled. 👍👍👍
I think this can go somewhere, unfortunately we will have to go about it in a completely different manor. I don't see any problems with it being open to everyone. But on the same note races and locations need to be kept secret for the safety of others. There is absolutely no way to set a date and place and have 70 boats on the water at one time let alone trying to make passes in the 100mph range. It would be awesome for everyone to come out and watch but bottom line it is not safe. I think if it could be kept updated and if interested brad coming out to film could be a cool addition to the videos. I would say all interested parties should send a PM to Jim, Jake, or me and maybe we can get something started up.I agree with ya bud. 👍👍👍

Mines is like the farm truck, heavy, ugly. And always has a old dog in it. I would bet money there would be 0 swtd's on the list at 1000' races. 😘
