Isn't there such a thing as "marine" wire specifically made to resist corroding or some such shizz?   I thought I read that on here.   Maybe not.

GC,   yes there is such thing as marine wire. I believe it is stainless rather than copper. and Ralph yes you will want 14ga for most everything and 10ga for your main power wire(s).

Hell yeah they float my dad has had two millers and you have to take and drill a few holes on the inside of the fenders up top to let the air out as you put the boat in the water.

We got about 2' last night at Shaver. Lost electric about midnight--when we dug ourselves out this morning it was snowing harder than ever. Just heard that the roads were closed because the snow plows couldn't keep up with the snowfall. The lakes will be full this summer.

I would say yes not only for the cool factor but also for the ease of upkeep.

You should have no problem chroming an intake. It is better if you start with an already pollished intake though, since this will have to be done prior to chroming anyway. IMHO chromed aluminum looks very cool and almost has a blue tint to it.

Are we talkin 4.6? Beacause I am currently in the process of building a 100+ thousand dollar 56 Tbird  that has a 98 R Model Cobra 4.6 and a 5 speed Tremec. And from personal experience the motor is bitchen but it takes more flippin wires to run that motor than should be legal. We (my shop) have had more truoble with the computer on it than we would like, and after  about a month and a half  we have finally figured out what is wrong (there were some codes that didn't get burned out of the system) and hopefully when we get the computer back the motor will run like a raped ape. But as far as putting the motor in a boat, I say dare to be different and go for it.
