Hmmmm gonna say different, maybe not way different, if memory serves the tunnels are roughly the same size, I wish I had some pictures of the aluminum picklefork we had.
Rounded keel tunnels stay loaded better and are more stable at speed, you give up a little something in the area of low speed plane, but probably negligable.

Yea its a way different animal. Check out the before pics of the Scorpion again http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=7243.msg105679#msg105679 , the tunnels look bigger then my 21', and its got steps on the sponsons and keel. From what I was told the Scorpions where built to work with OBs, hence the reason for all the bottom work on cj222s boat.

RTriebess, Are you sure its a delta bottom ? I thought they had a normal flat keel. Either way, as a drag boat I believe it should be changed. Its time to get in touch with the Daytona gurus !!

Not really sure. If I sold the motor I would just have to go buy all the same stuff again for the new motor. I would rather keep it and rebuild it for the new boat.

Ive got this one, might work as a CJ. 73 Eliminator, complete minus motor, Set back pump (by Tom Papp), comes with a fresh pump (JC bowl), and a tandem trailer with swing a way tongue and inward mounted springs (easy to convert to a dolly trailer). Would need a turn fin and a handle/down pedal set up for the plates. Asking $1500, possibly negotiable if theres parts you dont need.

Tom, even if he wasnt an arrogant ass hole, that dog needs to be under control not roaming around as it pleases !!! I'm sure this isnt the first time its done something like this (and wont be the last). We all know I'm a dog lover, but there is NO WAY I would let my dog roam around loose like that. Its irresponsible and asking for trouble. You need to not be worried about the owners attitude, or if it would bite one of your customers, but think about what would have happened if it was one of your grand kids out there playing !!! A 90lb aggressive dog should NEVER be roaming around as it pleases !!!!!! If you ever see that dog loose again call animal control immediately !!

You need to try a cleaver propeller and lift the ass of the boat some more, you're leaving the poker game with all your chips on the table....
That thing has the potential to fill your linens for sure
If you can get some transom lift with a cleaver, it will "tip toe" a lttle more and make it more comfortable and stable.
Gotta go to the old mans garage and see what pitch is sitting in there...What pitch you ruuning now and at what RPM?
Might as well make it fun for a while

Oh no I dont !! The OB has served its purpose by confirming to me why I dont like it (ugly, smelly, sounds gay, etc, etc).
It has a 14.5" 28 pitch 4 blade on it and I realy dont know what rpm it topped out at, I was a little busy holding on for dear life at that point. When the bow cought to much air and started to climb like that, I looked just like this

Well I had to drag this thread back up. I decided to slap this thing together and get it wet. Wanted to see if I would like a boat this big.
I will admit, I hate the OB !!! It sounds gay, smells terrible, and is a pig out of the hole. But it did run good and has lots of power once its on plane.
But I love this hull !!!!! It rides sooooooooo nice. And feels realy light on the water. I did manage to scare myself with it though. I made a few passes in front of the marina at around 3k rpm, trying to figure out the trim system. Then once I was an expert at it , I stood on the throttle and started trimming it up. Every time I went up on the trim switch it went faster and gained more rpm, nice. So now the hull has lifted and is moveing along pretty good. I have no idea how fast it was going (didnt bring the GPS) but it felt fast. So my dumb azz decides to trim it up more, BAD IDEA !!! The bow cought a bunch of air and came way up, and it started dancing around from sponson to sponson. Felt just like those little OB race boats on TV look just before they blow over. Good thing I was already an expert and able to save it .
Bottom line is, I like the boat and it is going to get a real motor now. As soon as the little blue boat is gone, the surgury can begin.

Well the kid came over tonight and gave me a deposit on the bike. I guess the way to sell a motorcycle is to crash it right in front of any potential buyers. Good thing I dont have anymore to get rid of.

Talk about crazy, I just got a call from the kid that was looking at it and he still wants it. I knocked $ 800 off the price for the pipe and scratched fairings. He wants to pick it up tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. I just might still be building the Daytona.

Ok. Now it hurts !!!!! And I'm on my way to work, dont think I'm going to be able to do much with my hand like this. This is going to be a problem. 
And no there was no drinking involved, just a bad decision and the bike got ahead of me. I guess I was due, I've been riding on the street for 17 years now and this was my first time going down (dirt doesn't count).

Dont know, maybe I'm dead because it dont hurt much (yet). But my hand is a little cold . Little Leo is a problem though, he keeps pokeing the one on my knee with kis nose and sniffing me like I'm food now. I guess I smell like fresh meat. 
The worst part is the money from the bike was going to help pay for the Daytona project.

Funny thing is the kid (buyer) is still interested in the bike . Wants to know what I'll take for it as is.
BTW, its almost the same animal you had. its a GSXR 1100. I'm just glad it happend going relativly slow, not on one of me 160 mph stress relief trips.

WARNING ROAS RASH PICS !!!!!!!!
After not riding all Summer I decided to get did of my bike. pulled it out of its hole this morning and polished everything up nice. Rode it to the gass station then over to Ironmans house to help with his boat a bit, everything was fine. A few hours ago I got a call on it and someone wanted to came see it, I said sure. So, my dumb azz goes outside gets on the bike rides around the culdasac a few times to warm it up. Did a nice big smokey burnout down the street and lost it, layed it sown right in front of my own house. Bent the crap out of the pipe, scraped up the side fairing. If I didnt have bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all
