Yea, my jeep gets 12, wife's truck gets 10. Both are paid off.

We did the calcs based on 3.50 a gallon, using our mileage we drive a year.

To break EVEN, we got to buy a $13,000 car that got 28 MPG. Obviously, a little more mileage meant a hair more money to spend, but remember this is the BREAK EVEN point.  So really we were looking at driving a used POS buzzbox to save what we would spend on a bottle of wine at dinner.

No, I don't like spending $70 a fill up vs $50, but it isn't the end of the world either (they canceled the whole global warming thing) 

Man, isn't this the truth. I remember with Jan and I were younger and we had a bitchin blazer that was so damn cool. It was even the first in town to have Radials as big as 12.50's by 33's. That thing was sick but being younger we listened to all the hype in the 70's about fuel prices and gave it away wth less than 30K on the clock and bought a pisser.  Now when I think back at what the price of that pisser was and how much we both took it in the ass to "unload" that blazer, I kick myse cuz I could have bought enough gas to get me into the 80's.  Now 30 years later they're trying to do it to us again and I'm not gonna do it. Give away a damn good truck and then pay up the butt for a pisser just to save some gas mileage. The math doesnt jive to pay top dollar for a pisser and give away a good truck.
With that said, I sure am glad Jan and I had a chance to come south last year and actually meet Rhonda, Josh and Ol what's his name in person...

As far as the Global Warming thing, It pretty much has snowed every damn day for a week...... Didn't amount to much but "warming" implies....warm and it certainly isnt that up here.  We should be turning the corner and yet I had to scrape the windows again this moring...

Damn Brad, that's the spittin image of my interior.  I'm hoping to do the same as you but am gonna have to wait till everything is in there to see if I can squeeze in a back seat or if I just have to bite the bullet and go with a couple of buckets..

With that said, I do worry about how my kids can pull it off cuz they're just starting out and don't quite have the disposable income we all do.

All's cool and Mom, Baby and Dad are good (don't know about grandma and grandpa though).  Little shaver was born way late last night and he's a stud. Folks, iff'n you're in need of some and don't have the talent that Ralph and his Pops have, don't hesitate to pull the trigger on these.  They're very nice..........(typical JPB quality)

One way to do it would be to hook the white wire on the box up to a switch to ground it out, that kills the spark.  Then get it cranking and throw the switch.  Kinda like a Magneto.  You can also double this as the kill switch.

You can also isolate the ignition wire to a separate switch.

I'm liking that.  Clean simple and bound to help with the advance locked out. 

I'll stick with proven concepts...."baby makin 101"

I love mine (though it's still not on the boat) and am starting to put my ideas together on how I am going to run my butterfly.  Regardless, I think Dozzr would agree these things are bitchin. Not cheap but killer looking nonetheless..

I am by no means a voice of vast experiance but I will offer that I have well in excess of $2000 in materials in my project and was not using high priced material nor were my colors complicated.  While $5800 is a lot of coin, the amount of work needed to make sure his customers are happy is considerable.  If he does good work and can get it done in a reasonable timeframe, I would consider it fair. He's making some money but hell, he's got bills to pay just like the rest of us.
