Im probably gonna catch hell for this but................ My boat runs like shit..

Just when you think you are going in the right direction and find out you should have left it alone..........

Ok i went from having to much pressure and a good running boat to not enough pressure and a boat that runs like shit....

I installed a electric pump, a Holley red to be exact. Im running two tanks into a water fuel seperator and then into my fuel pump and into the carb.
Fuel pump mounted on the transom.

Fuel line running to carb with a inline filter all -8 fittings and hose.

My fuel pressure :screwy:

I say we keep this thread going and give the flatty to 2Sav to build  :o :sly: :screwy:

What is the measurement from the pan rail to the bottom?

The pan in my boat was 8" deep and was setting on the intake housing bolts  :banghead:

If i remember right the same exact pan thats in my Carribean measured 7 1/2"s

but i can go measure again.

Ok It measures,  rear....7 7/8" and the front 7 3/4" so with a gasket installed you'r right back to 8"s  :sly:

Its funny, out of all the people who have chimed in through all the pages of the other thread about "I cant believe its not recovered yet, blah blah", No one has offered to lend some muscle, boat, trailer, etc. other then a select few.

I will bet money its flipped by next week and at least parted out. I wont bet on how many pages because its to easy to make it more pages.

Bravo ;)

Very well put.................

That just seems so bass ackwards to me....why would you draw fuel from the top of the tank. (i know a tube goes down into the tank but why wouldnt they just be gravity fed with a bung at the lowest point in side the tank????

I feel the same way, my tanks draw from the bottom. The tanks in my bahner drew from the bottom... I always felt this way it was easier on the fuel pump to get fuel to the carb without working as hard......

but i have noticed not all tanks give you the option of drawing from the bottom, i guess  im just lucky ;)

Whats wrong with your new one?

I need to change the plenum cover gasket, which is under the intake...It's a bad design and a common problem , i found oil residue when i looked through the T/B and this will cause it to lose power, vacuum leak and use oil :screwy:

not going to use the stock parts, im going with this setup. http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/products.php?partid=22220

and im also getting new bolts... then im doing it or it goes to a shop but i dunno, it's kinda scary with all those solenoids and fuel injectors and shit covering the intake. So im thinking a professional should do it ???

And then i add a cold air intake to her ;)  my Yota has one and let me tell you it will put that Dodge to shame power wise..........
