Got a router and got the corners rounded on the stringers. I used the 3/8 that was recommended. Getting closer to being able to lay glass. I will be getting my engine and jet tomorrow. Closer and closer to getting it wet!!!I hate to be the nay sayer.... Good luck getting air bubbles out. With the groves in that wood, it's going to be a big pain in the ass!!!!!!!!!! There was a reason why wes/we told you to use kiln dryed Douglass fur. Good luck with it though. Maybe you can sand all those notches out?...

What is it that you would really like to do with this boat? Do you want to be on the water ASAP or do you want to put work into it to make the pump as trick as possible?What ever joe recommends I would go with. #b1racing
Are you up for a challenge mechanically and financially?
If you want to be on the water ASAP, the quickest route will be with the pump that corresponds to the intake that is originally installed in the boat.
If you are up for the challenge, pick and choose the best parts. As GT started, there are advantages and disadvantages to every part. I will attempt to break those down and describe some of the obstacles you might run into.
First, a lot will depend on exactly what parts you already have available AND if they are in good usable condition.
Following the path of water to try to put some method to my madness, the Berkeley intake, from a flow standpoint, is superior to the AT. The AT intake has an unusual bump in the roof, just after the loader pad. This bump creates a disturbance in the water flow path along the most critical surface. The Berkeley has a smooth, consistent elliptical radius.
Whichever one you choose, I would definitely cut it for a shoe and ride plate.

Don't coat it! If you do then you will not see the cracks if they come up. The only way to get them shinny like Jims is to order a stainless one. Your loader is fine, you can take a little scotch brite to it and clean it up, then spray paint it white.X2. DO NOT COAT THE LOADER! I take mine out after every day on the water and red dye check the loader after every race day.
This has actually never been proven. Personally I believe if there is a difference it is because of the terrible transition from the G bowl to the steering adapterX2

I've never used versa-stud. I worked at Schiada for 6 years and we always used kiln-dried Doug fir . Gardena lumber usually stocks it in 2x10x16', hope that helps.Kiln dryed is always the best choice. Anything else will have moisture still in the wood.
