Funny for me to say this being a hot head with a heavy fist, but sometimes it's better to let it go. I couldn't tell you how many times in the last 5 trips I wanted to blow up on someone stupid at the docks or on the ramp but that little girl that's sitting next to me having the time of her life is the best reason to just keep cool and move on.

But I agree with Omar, on a busy ramp ill have who ever leave the pin in the bow and a quick rap on the throttle with the diverter up before backing off the trailer gets people's attention pretty quick

I remember seeing that thing up for sale on cl a while back. Big red boat with a panther pump. Almost went to look at it then I found the kona.

Trailer is registered pti in my name and I don't have the title for the hull however I do have the previous owners name and address. When I bought the hull and trailer it was previously on they couldn't find the title for the hull only the trailer.but through talking with the DMV the hull and trailer are both registered to the same guy and talking with the pd they confirmed it and neither are stolen.


The trailer bearings maybe have 50 miles since I repacked them and put new bearing buddies on. The tires however I wouldn't trust to go that far. There are no lights on the trailer so id reccomend magnetic tow lights or if you buy a roll of trailer wiring and a plug I have some lights I can put on it and wire it up for ya.

I put my valves about 3 inches off the 90 on the tank and just spliced it into the rubber line, I didn't want to worry about my tank cracking because of the added weight hanging off the 90. I pull from both tanks all the time but I adjusted one of the valves so they pull pretty evenly

Yea but the shitty part is, everything had nothing to do with the boat. Boat is still running great, truck however is not!

Sweet, I saw this thing a few years back  in person before joining Scjb. I really like the top deck, pretty cool looking. So your up to 2 cruisers and a race boat now? I take you really like boats lol.

stay away from a tahiti/hawaiian/kona... 650 in one of those you'll blow the 1/4 stringers right out of it

What's wrong with kona? I know a few people with them, myself included and they are full stringer boats but that's not to say all are.

But there are hulls out there that are pretty much ment to move in a hurry. There's 4 things I would look for in a good project hull. A good bottom with no fiberglass work needed ( ill tell you all about that if you want), full stringer, preferably a berk pump, and something that's solid overall.

So we had a  unexpected rain spell roll through and I just got home and saw what my wife did. Couldn't help but laugh.

Here's some tips that were givin to me and seem to be the most frequent asked

1) jets don't turn unless your on the go pedal, don't panic and crank the wheel and let off. You'll keep going straight, stay on it or ease off a little. Most of the time you will end up cranking it and stabbing the pedal real quick if need be for evasive moves.

2) low pro boats don't like studded stops from cruise/wot speed, that wake that follows you will catch up in a hurry and jump right in the back. Ease of the throttle till about 12-1600rpm and hold it there you'll eventually feel alittle push from the wake when it catches up, then you know your safe to let off all the way to idle. Just keep an eye on it the first couple of times and you'll get the hang of it.

3) always hold your fwd/rev lever if it is butter smooth. I have already had the privilege of the reverse bucket dropping unexpectedly when letting off and getting back on it. It sucks by the way, that's why I have a locking lever

4) jets generally guzzle gas compared to prop boats

5) always keep a paddle or two in the boat

6) it's a jet boat, you'll probably spend more time polishing and buffing it than you use it......just how it goes
