Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Spark plug
« on: September 15, 2013, 04:23:03 PM »
I just rolled 300,000. Thought I would give the ol' girl a tune up. Normally I change the plugs every 75,000 or so. Never had this happen before.  :banghead: :banghead:

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Spark plug

I was doing a tune up on my chevy 1500 and I was changing the plugs and the #6 plug won't free up. I tried liquid wrench and tried running it for awhile to get it hot. Any other options?

Ah man, that's terrible. Not only did your float disappoint you but the tourists were a bunch of rude cackle-smacks. That's a bummer. Good luck with the repairs.

From what I've heard , Thursday's they don't let water in at all. So it gets really low  . The water normally comes up fri and sat. If not, refer to crewchief22's idea (grab a metal detector) and enjoy!!! Arrrrrgh....(they need a pirate emoticon)

Tried one about 20yrs ago out at nacimiento. A guy was walking with it and we hit him up on what it was and he explained to us how it works and let us use it for the day. He said you ride it like your takin' a crap. If you wanna go up lean back, if you wanna go down lean forward. It's that simple. That thing made our trip. Bad ass!

It might be cheaper to drive there. It'll probably cost you somewhere between $70-$100 thru UPS. From what I've heard jet hot coatings is pretty legit.

You should tell H.R. If they have a problem with it then they should go clean your tractor out after the dirtbag uses it and then there wouldn't be an issue.

At least Elsinore doesn't check for those pesky little mussel's....that way if you do wash out your engine compartment and it doesn't dry completely, you can still go enjoy a day on the lake without getting turned away! (Perris and Silverwood) but that's a whole different topic. :banghead:

I've taken water on thru my headers not once, but twice. Changed the oil and filter, cleaned all the milk out and it ran good. Trying to figure out the water goin thru the lines is a trial and error type deal. I've read on here a lot of guys run a valve (from h.d.) up by the driver seat to control the water, including myself. Only opened just a bit. I close it off at idle just to be safe.
