Boats For Sale / Re: F/S Kornowski 18ft Southwind
« on: May 17, 2016, 04:19:45 PM »

Not sure who made the seat, they were in the boat when my buddy got the boat. If you call Scott Kornowski in Havasu, he probably knows who made the seats or where they came from.

If it's a balanced flywheel, make sure you have the dowl pin in the crank and the flywheel is indexed properly...

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Changing oil
« on: May 09, 2016, 06:31:26 AM »
This is what I use... Works great! Takes about 10 minutes to pull 10 quarts out, if you are dealing with cold oil you can prop a heat lamp beside your oil pan for about 10 or 15 min and it will warm it up enough so the pump can pull it out without taking all day...

I just picked one up yesterday... Was a 250 mile trip one way to get it cause we got a great deal on it! But on the way home cruise set at 78mph we got 24.7mpg... That is crazy for a full size 4 wheel drive truck that's bone stock! I'm sure it will continue to get better as the motor gets a few miles on it... I'm super happy so far!

Helps if you start out with the drill in reverse until you get you a nice score line through the gel... Then you can go at it a little more aggressive...

Hulls / Re: rub rail rivets
« on: March 31, 2016, 04:44:57 AM »
Can you get to the back side of it? If so find you a small flat washer and a little longer rivet and hold the washer on the inside and have your buddy work the rivet gun on the outside... The washer will keep it from pulling back through... If you can get to it from both sides?

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Re: Stringer replacement help
« on: March 29, 2016, 07:17:01 AM »
Just thinking out loud here? You might be already going to do it? But you need to take a router and knock the corners off of your stringers... It will make life SOOO much easier when you get ready to lay the glass and give you a much better finished product... Nice work tho! Looking good! 👍🏻

Very possible could... Cheap enough to throw a new switch in it... Sucks being stuck on the water over a 20$ part...

Should be pretty easy to run down with a test light? Make sure you have a good ground... But it really only takes a few wires to make her spin? Does it have a ford style solenoid on it? If so that's where I would start checking with my test light...

Gt if he flipped that 3* up upside down wouldn't almost cancel out the droop? Don't most droops have like 4* built into them? Again just thinking out loud... 😎

Was thinking he could have a little more down adjustment on it to stop the bounce? But was just thinking out loud? I get myself in trouble doing that sometimes... 😎

Put some down wedge in it? You can pick up the plastic wedges pretty darn cheap... Still might be able to have the best of both worlds if you play with some different wedges...

I have wondered about the amount of veins in a bowl and how much that really plays into things? I have a 8 vein dominator bowl that I picked up from Tom at jet boat performance when I picked up my boat... Those bowls in the pick look like 9 vein? But I've hard 11 vein? Just curious?
