hey fellas still learing the ins and outs of these pumps ive had the boat out many many times this season with minimal problems and this last weekend made many passes few good hours on the boat beached up grilled sum burgers yada yada got back on the boat and it wouldnt "go" the boat would kinda pull at 1500-2000 rpm but if u gas it over 2000 rpm the boat would shake real bad like something was out of balance in the pump and rev real high like it wasnt even suckin water or a slipping "transmission per say" this exact thing happened earlier in the season first thought was I sucked sum trash in the pump so I loaded the boat pulled inspection plate there was nothing in there that j could see looked up the intake nothing my eye could see out of ordinary? put boat back in same thing so I cruzed round bout 1500 rpm thinkin it might spit something out finally after bout 20 min sounded like the pump "coughed or spit"  then took off like bat out of hell and didnt have problem for the rest of the day this is second time this season this has happened exact same both times rev high boat shakes the pump coughes and goes have no clue whats goin on hopin my pump isnt trashed but when its workin pump works and acts flawless any ideas or help would be great hopin I can make it thru the summer pump is an energized YJ A impeller 468 chevy thanx guys socal rox

Thanx daniel I was thinkin yhat after what crew said u worded it lil better for me im thinkin im right at 450-475hp so as crew said I need more money for power thanx again daniel u made that very easy to understand man that a big jump in power for 1000 rpm?

Thanx rebel thatbgood fyi im actually tryin to id my impeller at the moment its pretty tough from previous owner it does have an A im new to jet pumps I can see it but cant id it by visual may be a dumb quesyion can anyone id this by this pic possibly??? Sweet thanx carrea im def gonna use tnis carb now! Thanx everyone for the quick response im gonnabtryin pick up this carb in nxt couple days and hopefully get out for couple test hits in nxt week or so and take few jets and kep carrea jet size in mind lil larger than mine boat been suckin my wallent straight dwn the intake!!! And thinkin boat naming this bitch rain maker last two times out for test hit brought stormy rains both times ugh!!

Thanx again crew was just worried bout that no PV thing cause my boat does cruz its not WOT everytime out I do have vacum gauge I thinkni van make it wrk  hopin I stilk have drivebilitly per say but I think its safe to try gota be better than the eddy on it now

Found deal on sweet carb came of bbc big inch like the boat it is set up with 80 in front with 5.5 PV and 88 in rear jet extension and no PV has anyone had experince wit removing the powervalve I kno most performance holley carbs come factory with no rear PV what u guys think I can get this carb on trade deal without costing me any lake money running a 800 shitelbrock at the moment need a carb current setup 468 merlin heads ported team g and shitelbrock any input before I pull trigger on this carb would be great SOCAL ROX!

Hey fellas I have a fresh built 750 race series alky carb and a NX stage 6 gemini nitrous system wanna trade forr good 750 4150 gas carb 500 $ for nx kit 400 $ for carb or trade for sweet gas carb race series oh nx has purge system also bout 1000 $ kit or more with purge nvr been used

Prob keeping yhe pump not to excited on the idea of havin to glass shit out of the hull and all the fab wrk to change pumps my budget doesnt have much more than 550-600 horse anyways so if this pump is fine for that and I could get a good 65-68 mph I be happy I took pic of my impeller I kno its not a good pic but curioud if anyone can tell kinda if its an A impeller like the original owner says crewchief seems very knowledgable on this subject hopefully he can give lil more insight I got better pic of my unit number plate and impeller any ideas is yhis good impeller for top speed suggestions on something better or is this decent thanx u guys rock! How often should I grease that cert inside there?
