Hi y'all its a newbie question. Should you start your boat after you pull it out of the water for a few seconds? Not sure if it would damage the pump or worse?

So I'm a new boat owner and received the tax notice in the mail a month or so ago. I filled out the letter and sent it back to the county I paid 7500 for the boat. How much tax am I going to pay?

I plug the float charger into a cigarette lighter plug. Real easy and convenient.
