I agree that's way to much pressure! That's just what it is at the hose spigot. I figure though running unrestricted through the engine the gaskets shouldn't ever see that pressure. But I have no idea what is coming out of a pump at 4,000 rpm?? From what I can tell it hasn't blown any other gaskets. Like I said the boat had no regulator or pressure relief when I got it?? And no idea how long it had run that way??. So you think the prv is unnecessary? Just run a valve? From what I can tell I'm running about 120' at idle. But the gauge doesn't even move till 100' so it always looks cool. I just installed the ball valve because I hate gate valves they always seem to stick after a while. But I've also never used them in a boat. Just on home plumbing! LOL. As for the riser gaskets. They are stuck like glue!! I figured soak them in WD and use a mallet to separate them?? What you think?
