Your buddy should have never been in "harms way" when tending to the prisons needs, just doing his job.  That is royally F***ed up of the system that something like that is EVEN POSSIBLE!!!  We will pray for him and his speedy recovery, also for no signs that it ever happened. 

Wow!  This is such a controversial topic...  I'm sure they had plastic surgeons waiting for him hoping to "tend his wounds" and make him better before he decides to file a lawsuit on their asses!  Although I hate the "sue happy" people out there, I'm sure he would win this one (unless he signed some ridiculous release of liability to perform the job) and he deserves some compensation for it, too!  Not just to have his wounds mended and then be on about their merry way...  and be expected to come back and fix more shyt, too.

I want to choke the shyt out of that dude too and it wasn't even my bro that got attacked!

Nobody I've ever heard talk about today's prison systems has ever said it better, my friend.  THAT'S WHAT I'M EFFING TALKING ABOUT!!!  We want to fix the budget problem/state debt problems...??  Stop spending so much money on the damn prison systems and spend it on schools instead.  Hang those bitches in front of their butt buddies, wipe our hands clean and walk away.  No remorse.

I got this one from West Marine for $150...  Doesn't fit perfect but works okay.  Just didn't have it in me to leave the boat out in the elements at all times, bought it on the way home from picking the boat up.  It's polyester and is the cheapest one they had.

Off subject but hey Frank...  Thanks for the rudder!  Good talking to you yesterday.  I'll let you know how it works out.   

Here's a little sample of what you might find in Discovery Bay, where I launch the boat out of when I go to the Delta.    I feel a little out of place, not too many jet boats out here... 

So...  Took the Southwind out for the first time today.  Went to the Delta, it's the closest to my house (bout 45 minutes to launch out of Discovery Bay).  Had a blast, just me and the fiance for our maiden voyage.    

Cruised around for 'bout an hour, anchored for a couple more hours and cruised again for a couple hours.  Had a blast!  Boat ran great, handled great, all in all it was the perfect day for the first day out...  Aside from all the wahoo wake barges and high dollar prop boats, the Delta was a zoo.  Good thing about it though, is you can always find flat water and always find a place to post up and not be bothered by other crowds.

Was going to be heading up to the boss' houseboat on New Melones for tomorrow and Monday, now we're thinking of just sticking to the Delta again for both days...  Have a buddy who just bought a '76 Hawaiian mini day, rebuilt the motor and wants to take it out for his first time tomorrow.  Two other jet boat "acquaintances" too who will also be out there, so Memorial Day weekend is off to a great start!

Allright, I get what you're after. Gps'ed the Moo boat at 76 MPH a few weeks ago at Bartlett. Thought it a fluke but verified it today at 78 mph. No pics of the gps tho, and didn't want to post because this all happened at around 4200 rpm with quite a bit of throttle and quite seemingly, power left! I think I created my own demise here! Have no idea what her top speed is yet, but it is a little scarey! (Got WAY too bumpy to try for more today, but she has more in her).

Lake was actually good today, not so busy, and I got some pics of them towing Cadillac's boat in, still mostly submerged. They couldn't seem to find him? I had no numbers or anything when I offered to help. I think they misunderstood my intentions.

I know how it feels to have slow work, also to work for a family run business vs. dealing with the corporate b.s.  All I have to say is F**! corporate b.s.

Way to be on keeping yourself flowing and finding the calling on the other side.

We just started two new large scale remodels last Monday.  Just got paid for the first 40 hour week in months.  Life's good!

Oh, and... Get to take the new boat out for the first time this weekend...   Wooo Hooo!!!

What about a hi-lift jack, using a 2x4, 3 or 4 feet long on the lifting point to distribute the weight better?

I also, wish I lived closer to this... Sounds like it has potential to be a VERY fun outing.
