Nice build , with the old motor in your boat , what was the speed and rpm at wot, just curious, I have a Sanger superjet my old motor was a 60 over 454 solid flat tappet cam oval port hogged heads, victor Jr , 1000cfm Holley aed carb ran a 12.51 1/4 mile at 83 mph built a new motor 489 iron block edelbrock aluminum heads ,comp cams solid roller, weiand tunnel ram, and twin 750 aed carbs don't know what the power I'm making but can't wait to get it on the water , and mash it to the floor !! 😁

so I am changing my intake edelbrock victor jr and 1000cfm AED , to a weiand tunnel ram set up with 2 AED750 carbs new motor is a 489 stroker solid roller reqtangelar alum headed 7500 rpm , old motor 468 flat tappet oval port hogged out oval port 6000 rpm limit are the carbs too small? getting lots of different info about staying with one carb but going comp jet racing and not drag racing any more, any thoughts would be cool thanks

thanks for the info , so black moly lube any specific brand ? do you recommend a good gear oil, been using Lucas oil brand, as for letting water up to the bearing, when in the pits its only getting water from the pump , in the river it sits for about 15 minutes before I start and run it, are the thrust bearings pretty much the same in dominator pumps the same in berkely pumps? was this a bearing fail on my part, or a cheap bearing ? or it just failed, the pump is

Well got the news from George at ARS guess the thrust bearing failed , got lucky and the housing is not cracked , he asked me what kind of grease I was using on the thrust bearing , I use Lucas oil grease , does it make a difference? I always greased it before and after I ran the boat always changed the oil too, hope I get the pump back soon hope all you out there are doing all right the world's kinda crazy this virus shit sucks😠

I have a 78 sanger superjet ,heavy boat basically run the same set up as you have but with hogged out oval ports and a Victor Jr with AED 1000cfm Holley , add a loader scoop , have a solid flat tappet cam running 83 mph on top end 6.7 in the 1/8. ,12.50 in the 1/4 I think your there !!have fun😎

Thanks guys , got the pump pulled today sending it to George at ARS, he built it before , hoping the housing is not messed up this would be my 3rd in 4yrs last housing cracked because of a broken piece of metal from a bad assembly line loader scoop , so we'll see ,appreciate the help , George has always been good to me ,parts fail I understand plus I'm hard on my equipment I'm always checking everything but shit happens if the new motor fires up and works out I should be ready to rock and roll for the June race😁

These are old pics , haven't got too where it's stored to get new ones there's no motor , it was blown , has 12jg pump have good parts and tossed the junk have a few new parts call for list the Dragstar is a light layup the stringers are solid I don't wish to sell but things change I got two many boats and parts ,wow did I say that what the freak is wrong with me huh LOl😁if my Dually sells first than im keeping it thanks😎

Thanks Bro appreciate the words ,yes I was real bummed out☹ ,pulled the droop snoot found gear oil in the bottom of the bowl in the vanes weird, seal? I always left the pump stuff to the pros ,George has always been good with everything, just getting frustrated 2 motors and a pump in one year😠 my friend pork chop got a Kurtis 500 v drive wondering if it's time for a change?😁
