We need 4 boats to run a NJ Jet race. They are on the sanction . If we do not have 4 boats it could be combined with the Nostalgia Endurance race. I do know that they have 3 boats that are suppose to be there. As for the sanction it is posted on APBA-racing . com

after talking with the IE commissioner and another committee member we agree that you can race your tunnel in NJ. An inspection will be done prior to the race . Our main goal is to make sure that the boat is safe for both the driver and the other racers.

Boat looks great. The pictures were helpful. NJ is suppose to run under the same rules as CJ. The only question i have is on the seat bolting. It must be thru bolted to the stringers or the floor of the boat ( not sub floor).,and we must be able to visually inspect it. Is this possible.

As far as the boat you need a kill switch, seat attached to a stringer with thru bolts, a rudder  ( minimum 16 sq inches) and if you use a jet o vator it must have a stop  so as not to allow it to go any higher than 4 ft. Equipment the rules are at APBA-Racing.com rule # 3. Helmet, Jacket, etc

Yes their ready to install. 990's were just gone thru by r&d marine. do you have a Mark 4 block or a gen 5. Gen 5 blocks only have 6 bolts on the timing cover.Gen 5 heads will work on a mark 4 but mark 4 heads don't work on a gen 5  i have been told.

87
 I have two sets 1 gen 5 and 1 set 990's . What do you need. 990's are $800.. Gen 5 $ 600.00  If your interested give me a call  626 627-3999

Boat Racing / Re: CompJet Spectator rules?
« on: August 21, 2010, 07:59:31 AM »
The guy had to be joking. The CJ's Like  spectators looking at the boats. I spend a lot of time answering questions on the boat hardware, engines etc . The CJ 's are a pretty close group, we will work on each others boats so there are not many secrets. Next time your at the races look me up and i will make sure you find out what your looking for.If i don't know i'll find someone who does,                CJ 21

Ron  Its ok to get carried away. I agree with you we've had a great year.  Great times at Burley, Black Lake and the rest of the races. You and your crew are awsome to be around.

Ron  I think its great that we were invited it shows that the CJ's are getting noticed for the great show we are putting on but i also think that family comes first and if we can't make it so be it. No pressure at all

the only 2 manufactures of racing jackets i know of are SRP and Lifeline.  As for the stringers made of plywood are they laminated together like a solid 1x or 2x. A picture would help

It's time to revive the nostalgia jet class. I have had numerous people who have shown an interest in racing their boats. It's time to step up to the plate and lets get a boat count. Myself, Ralph Brunt and the CJ 's will do all we can to help anyone interested. Parker in november would be a nice jumping off place..

FYI  Talked to ross last night at Irwindale raceway while we were promoting the races. We took the 313 and 21 boat.It was explained to me that there was no CJ on the poster because last year we did not run Nationals. In order for the race to be a Nat'l we must have 7 boats start the races.Next year we will be on the poster since this race is a APBA approved Nat'l
