The No Wake Zone / Did I get reamed?? Engine Oil Suppliment GM
« on: August 09, 2008, 12:03:13 PM »
I'm getting stuff together for the cam break in on sun or mon. I paid 21.50 for 1 bottle :o
I also picked up some Brad Penn racing oil. Great stuff!!  It's the same oil that used to be Kendall.
Did I mention I hate doingcam break ins on new motors. Ya never know....if you forgot something. I've never had a problem. It just lingers in the back of my mind the 5minutes or so. After that it's just routine.

Whew!!! :)
I used a razor blade, thanx. It should seal up again.
HD I usualy do that with the rubber ones. I've had bad luck doing it with cork though.
Now to get the windage tray out, then the oil pump. Safty wire is great exept when go take it off.
I usually wind up bleeding.
HD I'll let ya know how the e-85 carbs work NA
My other friend put some on his blown bbc. Loved it. I'm digging your boat also! The paint is falling off mine. I made some cool pcs you'd like. I incorperated my fuel log and regulator into my carb spacer.
Stuff like that.

I've been stone cold broke and haavenot gotten my motor together till now.
The pump shaft is fine. I was supposed to install it before putting the oil pump on.
There are washers to prevent it from riding up in the dizzy. I'm gonna try to save the pan gaskets. I put a thin spred of silly on both sides of the gasket. It usually tears the cork. :-\

Awesome Aqua!!!

Mine went backwards. worked late on the motor last nite. Long block together.
Went through the hastel of shiming the rocker stands for the coorect preload on the Olds.
Button up the bottom end after putting in the drainback tubes in the pan. Sweet! I stagger home.

I bailed on work just now cause the lake is calling me. I go to drop the oil pump shaft in and then
#$**%#^ 'ing realize it goes in from the bottom.I make some calls ...no luck with finding new oil pan gaskets today. I might not get wet this weekend.  :-[

It scared me just watching the video.

these flow #'s  means it is capable of 479 hp with peak flow at 4800 rpm.
??? 's just ask.  ;)

Mr Mondello said I didn't do too bad for a rookie. That's us at a friends BBQ earlier this month.

100
Info and #'s done on a superflow bench at 28"/ with the 455 bore dia.  A larger base dia would give bigger #'s
