Well I guess it depends on what motor you start counting from (and what boat).   To be honest I lost track of how long it realy took him.  ;)

The No Wake Zone / Re: HOW TO MARKET AN $80,000 ALL WOOD FLAT BOTTOM?
« on: August 18, 2009, 07:07:22 PM »
Ive seen quite a few pics of that boat and I have to admit its a beautiful thing !!!!  And John Miller has a great reputation for doing very high quality work.  But I think the above comments are true, 80k is alot of money for a flatbottom (is that price turn key ?).   I think he would be better off offering a glass boat with a wood deck, would be alot less labor and could be much more affordable.  :-\

BTW, if he wants to hand out a few free sample hulls I'm sure we can start a list for him.  ;D

Its nice when they float.  Good luck.  ;D

See this 2sav,  no motor yet and its already wet.  It took you 6 months after you had a motor to find the water.  ::)

I got it!! It was the red wire to the ignition not the one for the rev limiter  :screwy:  I don't know what I was thinking now I need to hit the wet stuff and see if it all work right! 3 more days tell they fix my elbow. I will be down for 6 weeks they tell me I say 2-3 days tops. If I can get someone to go with me ill be there on sunday

 Thats the spirit !!!!

One year I was out driving my old boat around with a cast on my right leg.  Set it on the bow and used my left foot for the throttle.  :screwy:  They never should have told me that cast was fiberglass.  >:D

I went up there today to pick up my parts and this poor guy really needs to sell some more stuff  ;).  I could hardly tell there was a boat in his garage (so many parts).

What ever you guys need just send him a list, he probably has 3 of them in there somewhere.  ;D

Oh, and Glenn, get back to work cutting up that tuna boat in the driveway before your neighbor calls the city.  :D

Yea, like father like son  :banghead: :banghead:.  He is a realy nice guy at home, just like his dad.  And as soon as someone comes over he runs to get a toy so he can play with them  ::) .  Funny thing is he likes other dogs that are "bully breeds".  He gets along fine with a few Boxers and Pits in the neighborhood and likes my other neighbors Staffie.  Maybe he still remembers mom and dad.  Just dont let him see a Shepard, lab, or anything fluffy.  And as you know Skip, cats are out of the question.  I think thats why he broke the window, cat in the yard.

Yea, he was a lucky little guy today.   And he is doing fine, I have to keep calming him back down.  He wants to go bark at the neighbors dogs again (he doesnt like them).

Bad thing about today, other than the obviouse, was that as soon as he woke up at the vets he tried to attack another dog   :screwy: , he could hardly stand up but he was ready fight  >:(.  Good thing there was still a muzzle on him.  When he goes back to get the stiches removed hes going to get the "snip snip" treatment, I hope it calms him down a bit.  And the vet gave me a name and number for a realy good trainer that works with big, bad, dogs.  Dont get me wrong, he loves people, and even his vet (she's about 100lbs soaking wet) says he listens realy good, until theres other animals around.  :-\

Heres Little Leo, All grown up now  ::)

He had a bad day today.  He punched out the window in the spare bedroom  >:( (damn Boxer heritage) .  He cut his leg pretty bad and had to get some stitches.  He also made my house look like murder scene, there's blood everywhere, carpet, white bedspread in the spare bedroom, even all the way outside (to bark at the neighbors before I caught him) and the bathroom looks like I was cutting up a body (where I bandaged him up for the trip to the vet)  ::).  Good thing he did it early this mourning when I was still home, or he might not have lasted the day.

Totals for the day (so far) $400 for the vet, $100 for the window.   Looks like I'm not going to Long Beach for the races.  :banghead:

Skip,  Did they make the ramps smaller ?   Doesn't look like you could launch 3 boats wide anymore.

nathan, heres a link to the new thread over on PB, http://www.performanceboats.com/html/forums/showthread.php?t=44357  .  Looks like its going to be a good weekend out there.  Its a cool group of people.  Just watch out for that ramp (slickery), once your in the water go northish (under the train bridge).  It wanders around a bit then widens out where everyone hangs out (you cant miss it).
