You may have to eat a bucket load of Humble Pie if wizard's boat does get built, cuz it is bad ass.

@Wizard  Thanks for posting a bit about your background too,, it is clear you have a tremendous passion for the sport, and that you have some real positive concrete steps that people should certainly paused a bit to consider.
i will believe it when i see this pot of gold.it may look good but i hope it can run thats if he races it

I want to echo everything these guys are saying about the esprit de corp found in the pits among the crews in general, but the jet guys go above and beyond everytime.  You even see how often it spills over onto the internet.  Guys around SCJB.com are a pretty darn supportive and giving group.

I am sorry to hear that Ralph's motor let go, it sure looked fast on Saturday but I couldn't stay for Sunday's races.  It was a true delight to see how stoked he was on Saturday.  I wasn't on the ramp when my wife was interviewing him but I gotta hand it to her, she really caught how emotional this type of racing can be.

It ain't fancy uniforms and 20 coats of spray wax that makes the jet classes the draw that they are, its the people and their stories.   And I think that many in the crowd know first hand how hard it is to steer a jet boat in those conditions.  I bet not half of those have ever driven a V-drive.   It's a whole lot more work/skill to steer with nothing but a squirt.
ralphs mill is fine just some wet electronics from his r/r freestyle trick on the water  ;)

I think somewhere in all this we find common ground.  I understand what your grandad taught you.  I probably came on a bit (maybe a lot) too strong on my first post.  I was just trying to suggest where the class, which is developing nicely, needs to grow into.  Where we were is where your heading.  About the time we moved on to our lifetime careers was the time we were thinking the sport was on the verge of major sponsors, TV coverage and dreaming it was to become the next USAC.  That didn't happen and maybe we were partially to blame since we left the sport when we did. Who knows... NASCAR should have been APBA on FOX today.  I hope next time we see each other we can shake hands and agree to disagree if need be but remain passionate about our beloved Jets. Have fun, race hard, (look good doing it)
so then step up and race or join the organization and see where you stand with this professional team shirt shit actions speek louder than words and if your implying that we need to act more professional at the track and present trophy queens instead of race boats come out and show us how its done and yeah you struck a nerveas a class we grow as a family not a who has more money and fancy team shirt shit we all help each other out and share a common interest to bust are asss during are normal week but come race day find the coin ro go racing and have fun with extende friends and family. i for one donate long days and nights to help these guys out so they can race wehether it be with fuel last minute trashing on a boat just so they can fullfill some good old racing and good times with friends and still balance normal finances and life as we live. i vote that you show up and show us all how it should be done and if its about the money the way you speak it shouldnt be a problem i look forward to seeing your pile of shit run with this so called non shiny old run down boats and team jersey  :banghead:

I'd rather put out my money into the boat than uniforms.  And it's supposed to be fun anyway not a job.  You want corporate style with matching shirts go watch NASCAR!
Amen bro. He was probably swinging on the sponsored boat from the mpd crew no offense jack Dave Tom etc etc but not all those who race have the knowledge and hook ups like them. Catch any of those guys in the right time they will share there knowledge just like terry Harold jim and the rest. R&d boys run what they bring Terry's boat turns hard as hell matt proved that rubbing the bouys very lap. It's all about the having fun helping each other out and enjoying some racing. Pretty much all the peeps in CJ will help each other out even between heats just a little pissed that some one can say there disappointed yet hasn't helped or been part of the program to know what it takes just race

That's awesome...... I just ordered another set of pistons.... talked to my pop about building a seat and was doing some measurements on the boat to see what it would take to center steer it.... Hope the adrenalin don't wear off for a while.  8)
Hurry up I'm right there with ya between Ralph Christian jerms da you glen and myself that makes four boats 👍 and maybe mr wizard can say my polished terd isn't impressive at the pits so my 105 pound wife can tell him something

Well then I think mr wizard should try and build a boat himself fund it on a budget with professional team shirts and pit shirts and a shiny polished new hull and capable of at least finishing a heat to boot and actually doing it all by his selfish self and see how far you get in the pits before someone tell you where to shove it 😜. I've pitted for most and have had sleepless nights just to helps out friends and buds get there and this ass hat has to come in and bash are class go prove us wrong. Or don't support this class jack ass. And yes I'm the tattooed ugly fuck working theses non professional old ugly boats your talking trash about come bye and have a beer some time 😘

I wanted to give you guys a shout out in support of the River Racer class...

First of all, a huge thank you to Ralph Brunt, Jim Brock, Just Electric, slideartist, terrytav and any other jet boat competitor or crew member that babysat us in the pits.

Ralph, your hospitality and humbleness never seizes to impress me and I am proud to call you my friend.

You guys in my opinion were the class of the event, taking time to help the newbies, talking to the spectators, sharing war stories and just being great friends.

If anybody is even considering doing this, all I have to say is, you have a huge support group at your disposal. I was heart broken to see Ralph have problems at the end of the main, then again I also wanted to see all three boats cross the finish line. With more boats, I think this could literally be the fan favorite class, maybe overstating that a bit, but maybe not. A little bit like a county fair demolition derby....  ;D

If I can help in any capacity at all, hit me up, the worst thing that can happen is I will have too much on my plate, or a serious lack of funds to be able to get out there.

I had more fun this weekend than you can possibly imagine. Simply cannot wait to do it again. I may be sending out my Lifeline out for certification and building a secret recipe junkyard dog marathon motor to go out there and mix it up with you... Time will tell. Hell, If that big 'ol slideartist can do it.... 8)

Let's see if we cant have an even boat count between the RR and the CJ's I think 5 or 6 Comp Jets and 5 or 6 River "Rats" would have been off the hook.... Maybe even some double duty?

Thanks again for the much needed break from reality...

Yeah buddy it was a blast hanging with you northerners 😜 the boat count is gonna get bigger akready at Jim's shop discussing the mill to run my terd 👍

Awesome job buddy.

Once again persistance and concistancy makes the unexpected happen. Thank so much for opportunity to a part of it. You made me proud. The River Racer class even with its small nunbers were the class of the field.
