A little help with figuring out AN sizes (AN stands for Army Navy)... AN fittings are measured in 1/16ths of an inch.

So a -6 is 6/16 or 3/8"

        -8 is 8/16 or 1/2"

        -10 is 10/16 or 5/8"

These three sizes are the most common sizes used in AN. There are others but they are not as readily available.

Sweet lookin' boat.  Love the interior also!  Who did it for you, Really like the layout..  Welcome to the site.

Thank you for the compliment. The layout of the interior is absolutely stock, I used the old factory wood as paterns for the new wood and I had Robert at High Quality Upholstery in Canyon Country stitch up the seats, he is the only one I trust with my stuff.

bad ass where do you run it at?

in SoCal it will get run at Crapstaic(castaic lake) but it will predominantly be on the river, a very close friend of mine has a house not 5 minutes from the london bridge.

Welcome to the world of jet boats!  You have a real nice ride there.  To get you up on the latest lingo the aluminum " railin" is called a "rub rail" and when you mold in the joint between the hull and the deck it's called a "cap".  Do a search on this site and you will find lots of help from experts and amatures alike on modifications that you plan to do. Have fun, be safe.

thanks for the compliment. as far as the lingo goes.... when i was writing the post i was suffering from a serious case of brain fart, lol and as far as "capping" (didnt know that one) goes i know how i am going to do it. i am no stranger to customization, i build high dollar custom cars and do custom frabication for a living. I personally wouldnt mind keeping the rub rail but the problem is i havent been able to find the right kind to relpace the one i have when i re gell the boat, plus the studs up under  the bow are leaking when i wash the boat. my dad says im being parranoid but i dont like it one bit and i am planning on getting myself up under there with a tube of silicone asap.

ok maybe you can help me out, what is a gunnerwale(sp) ie seen it on a few threads but am not sure what it is...

Hello my name is RC, this is my first  jet, although i was raised on  jets. it is a 78 Sanger SuperJet with  460 ford and a berkley 12JG-A pump. I bought the boat from the original owner. it has been repainted once and is in need of some love. I have owned the boat for about a month and i have already rebuilt all the wood for the seats and re carpeted the interior. i have also glassed up the transom and changed the exhaust. after this season i plan on tearing the boat apart to rebuild the motor and have the pump gone trough. i plan on adding a stainless impeller droop snoot and place diverter. I am also going to remove the aluminum  railin around the boat and mold it in, then have the boat re gell'd and i am going to lay some custom  graphics out. i also plan on restoring the trailor to match. what do you guys think????
