This is the truth.  I've got two recent grads from UTI and Wyotech and I don't think either one will be a tech in another 5-7 years.  IF either actually starts to understand what it takes to turn a wrench.

The problem with those schools is simply the kids. Most have never turned a wrench prior to attending and dont really know what it's like or how to trouble shoot and diagnose. They are just magazine and bolt on mechanics. I went through uti and part of me wishes I didn't because of the 30k student loan I owe on now but I guess the knowledge I gained was worth it. Not to mention the 50% discount on snap on. But it is what it is.

We can agree to disagree, Glenn. Personally, I can't see plug readings being more important that in a Jet Boat, Or a Cessna........and you oughta see a Cessna's plugs, not nothing close to ours, and have to be read by a certified technician after 100 hours or flight................

So I guess it's not important......

You know I was just thinking, home boy combed through his boat with a "fine tooth comb" (regular maintenance) and the price shot up faster than my pecker does when I think of Hallet Dave's boat. So using his logic and considering I have stripped, flipped, glassed, painted, removed everything, reinstalled and replaced anything and everything that needed to be( combed through it with a fine tooth comb) my pos "71" pos "olds455" $2500 booger pile of a boat is worth an easy 13k

Really don't care if it sells or not. If it doesn't thats fine with me ill keep working on it and enjoy it with the family and if it does sell ill fix my truck and hand the rest to my wife and start working on my chevelle. I have to many projects and this is the one I'm least attached to but work on the most. but i only plan on leaving the add up for a week or so, dont want to deal with all the craigslist crap for to long. Already had a few idiots call. One guy offer me a trade for a old Honda 250r that doesnt run and mongoose mountain bike. but there is a guy coming today at  4 to look at it an possibly take it out for a spin.
