And here's the cheapy way.   

  Hose to motor has a female hose connector at the pressure reg.  Just unscrew it and connect the hose.   Just be careful with the amount of water you put into the motor, don't over pressurize it.   And if possible unhook the drive shaft (dont run the pump dry), or at least stick another hose in there to keep it wet like 2sav said.

 But what intake do you have now ??  Helpfull hint, a stock marine 460 intake manifold is better then a performer.  The marine intake was the same casting as a Cobra Jet intake.

just picked up two more boats=75 eliminator bubble deck and 76 eliminator picklefork which has alot of hull damage from rock crawling=no motors= but the price was right

 Just so everybody knows and you dont think Toms previous post was off the wall.  After installing the droop and looking at things for awhile, there seems to be some issues with this thing (the droop made it more noticeable).  At this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it.  I still plan to take it out Sunday, and see what it does.  As far as what the problem is, it has to do with the amount of rocker this hull has and the fact that it has a set back pump.  Moving the pump back put the intake farther back on the rocker and gave it some issues to deal with.  As it is now the hull wants to set all the way back on the rideplate and really fly.  This may have worked in the past with the massive power it had and as an all out drag boat, but it never had to cruise to the hang out spot.  Busby and the late Tom Papp had this thing set up to be an all or nothing boat.  They did what needed to be done to get it run as fast as it did, multiple passes over 121mph.  Unfortunately I dont have that kind of power and I do need it to behave in at least a semi reasonable manner for the trip from the ramp to the hang out spot (and back) without having to tow it around and just make passes with it. 

 Bottom line is, not to many people would buy an old blown alcohol drag car and try to turn it into a daily driver.  But thats exactly what I'm doing with this thing.

 Hell never get that thing wet, except in the driveway.     He's to afraid it will live up its Chevy heritage and float       "Like A Rock" !!

 Well I'm officially calling it DONE !  The trailer has fenders (that wont fly off).  And I finally got some time to finish up a few things on it.  I'm sure it will still need more work on the setup, but I'm done building.  I took it out to Moms house today, ran some water through it and did some tuning on the carbs. It was late afternoon before I was done.  So, it will be next weekend before it gets wet again.  I'll post some pics when it gets wet.  I just hope this thing works this time.

 Put your glasses on Ray, the hand hole cover is on there and thats a custom snap on cover.  Besides its an Eliminator Daytona, probably one of the best 19' tunnels hull around.   Not to sure about an old drag boat with TT exhaust and a bimini top,  but that hull is still one of the best around.  If I had the room it would be mine.

 IMO, If its cavitating that bad out of the hole, I'd say it time for a rebuild or there's damage to the impeller.   Whats your RPM at that 66 mph ?  You need to crawl under the boat and look up into the intake, make sure there's nothing up there that shouldn't be there, 200' of fishing line wrapped around the shaft (sabotage from the OB), ski ropes (sabotage from the wake boats), etc .   While your under there look at the front of the impeller for damage (nics, chips, missing pieces, etc).  If everything looks perfect in there you might need a rebuild, and next time don't run the boat out of the water unless you unhook the pump from the motor.
