I having issues with our Eliminator im guessing bad t valve.

My other boat has a t valve and the header control from rex, its a no brainer no water unless i say so.

You should not be getting water at idle anyways

Is there a way to fix em when they get a hole in the line   These are in great shape but i just found 2 holes in one of my injection line.

Looks as though they met up with a battery or somethin arc'ed (sp)

Im not buying new one's at $196 a pair   These are on my set of BBC twisty's

I know im not the only one that has ran into this problem , how did you fix em? i think welding is a bit extreme they would probably melt

I think what your talking about is the slave solenoid, you only need the large cable to the starters solenoid, the porpose of the slave is to bost the fallen voltage to the solenoid on the starter motor so it will get a full signal to pull  the armature in all the way.

So you need a smaller gauge wire going from the battery terminal of the starter to the slave and back to the "S" post of the starter form the slave and your rockin'

Um   Ok so if i just run a 8 AWG wire from the batt to the slave soleniod i would be good to go. The less batt cables the cleaner it looks

why are you sticking to a bottom mount? just curious.

The Eliminator came with a top mount starter and i liked the look of it, but it turned out to be A PAIN IN THE ARSE!!

Bruce (Shortbus71) came by the house and we talked about the flexplate......... I guess its supposed to have a reverse ring gear flex plate which would make total sense....

I just installed a new Pioneer flexplate on both boats and both are not reverse anything, just plain old flex plates......  So its easier to install a different starter than to buy a couple more flex plates and pull the engines again...

If i would have known this, i never would have bought these top mount starters...............

The Eliminator came with a top mount starter and since day one it has had starting issues.. It now sports a bottom mount starter and starts like a dream...

Who knows maybe it would work in my boat but im not going to even try it..... I have a new starter already in the Carribean now so im good to go

Oh ya..... BUMP!!

Ok, I just went out and looked at a new Hardin spring and ball kit hangin on the wall and the ball end has two tight windes on it.

Ok now that i think about it.... I remember the top of the Basset "T" valve looked a lil strange, unlike the one Ralph donated  for the BAHNER I mean Carribean

I noticed it and compared it to mine, and told myself i didnt like the way it looked. It didnt look like the ball would seat in it very well. I think i will try mine on the Eliminator and i bet that fixes it

If your spring is upside down the ball will fit inside it...........no BS. You'll spring reversal tool.

I bought new ball and springs for both boats.. Im pretty sure i put them in right , but monday were gonna do it again so i will double check that

Ok got the Eliminator wet today , but not without some issues.

#1. Lots o water coming out the weep holes at idle (installed a new ball /spring prior )
#2. it takes a while to get the water to come out the dump unless you rev it to 2K then its fine for awhile and then stops
#3.so far no oil in water.

This has a pressure reliefe valve so i open the gate valve full , and i  get the rpm's up to see if its working or not and its just a drizzle. i think it starts to dump at 25 psi which i thought was a little high? Or maybe i am

Boat ran strong , really responsive and smooth.. Just need to get the plumbing issues worked out...

Any idea's

Already got it  ...........But guess what im doing now 

the Eliminator is back with a starter issue. thanks to shortbus 71 (Bruce) i found out i need a reverse ring gear flexplate . No body told me that  so now BOTH boats are going back to a lower starter.

So i got 2 top mount starters for sale

Start boat first then turn on water. Not high pressure though just enough to get water coming out of you dump. Make sure water is turned off before motor is stopped also. Don't want to hydrolock  the boat. If the pump is new don't waste your time dry starting it. Make sure you have it in the water. From what I have been told, it is not good to dry runa  pump especially if it is new.

and if you do , just disconnect the drive shaft
