To truly read spark plugs for an air/fuel indication an otoscope is needed. New plugs must be used and after a few hard pulls/passes the engine needs to be shut down ASAP. To really see deep down inside the plug shell at the color ring captured on the porcelain cone, you need an otoscope ( lighted magnifier) to truly see it, the naked eye with natural or florescent light is not enough to truly see the color ring. Color on the plug tip or shell base can only tell one thing….problems, not an air/fuel ratio indication.

Been a while since I looked into it. But if I I remember correctly the switch is ran to 12v and that "ignites" the alternator

Im running a 12si alternator and I have one wire going a fuse panel with some resistors in line. The other loops from one alternator terminal to the other and finally the charge wire to the battery

Look up self igniting 10si or 12si

Fishing off of a jet boat should only happen when you can not be seen by anyone in a V-drive.  We don't need anymore reason for the v-drive guys to poke fun at us.

V-drive guys like to fish, shouldn't be a problem on a jet.
