Marc and I made a mold. Only thing that's left for the mold is to smooth out a couple of "spots". Then when we stood back and looked at our creation we realized that the major supplier of these expensive seats makes them fockin' crooked! We then went on the internet and found out that the pics of the seats you see are usually taken in a way that you can't tell that they are crooked.
However, Marc and I compared them to every single drag boat style of seat we could find and they were all exactly the same - crooked. Whether they were recently bought off of eBay, in an older drag jet, or on several older v-drives
Marc's and my plan is to offer a quality product. So we're going to eliminate the ribs on the mold, cut the mold much straighter than the "other guy's" seats, make smooth backed seats first, and after a few of those we'll make a bucket with straight "ribs" on it's back.
I'm curious to know, just in general, if you like drag boat seats with or without the "ribs" on the back of it?
