Thinking about adding some carbon fiber in the layers, 1-1inch strip of fiberglass, a layer of 2inch carbon fiber and then a cap of 3 inch fiberglass.

I am thinking that the 455 (H.P.) is "high performance". will the internals be forged ? we are thinking blower but now sure whats in side her.   I have the new name picked out let me know what you all think ...... Numb Nuts.....    I was pulling out of the gas station and this guy was driving buy and as soon as i got behind him he slowed down to about half the posted speed limit ... so the words F...king Numb Nuts just popped out and i said there we go.........

I'm going to cap it myself, the inside is already done. I was working on the motor and took a look under the inside of the hull and seen that the two were joined together with glass matting and that made my mind up....

So I have the new boat at home and the rub rail is missing ... is it possible to just fiberglass the two together and if so is there any problems later on with the seam?

I have had 3 boats in my life ... 2 insured and one that wasn't ... my luck was not good for the one that wasn't insured ... my son sank it ........... I had hit a rock with my fish and ski and took a chunk out of the lower unit and insurance payed for the repair.. insurance will not cost as much as a repair if you need it...

Hi all, New to Site , I leave on Monday for an 800 mile trip to pick up my first flat bottom boat and bring it back to southern Idaho for some fun. I am going to Southern Cal to pick it up, I am not sure what make it is , I got it unseen and hope it is in as good as shape as in the Pic's. All i know is that is says Special Edition on the valve cover something of 60 built. I will try and post some Pics from the road trip when I get it ....
