Jet Pumps / Need jacuzzi help

Made it to the races, boat looks great, runs the quarter at a (choke) 49mph, runs good but won't spin faster than 4200. Wondering if its a pump problem or the stock mechanical fuel pump, waiting on fittings gonna add a Holley electric pump, just hate to keep throwing money at it if its a lost cause. Nobody spoke real highly of the olds/jacuzzi combo at the races. If I had 20,000 burning a hole in my pocket it wouldn't be quite such a problem....I R 1 broke bastard...missin my oilfield check, sidelined with a shoulder injury. Any help y'all can offer would be awesome. Doesn't have to run a 100, be nice to outrun the neighbors kids canoe...lol thanks y'all, Keith

I bought the boat for a thousand, threw in another 200 and the guy sold me MSD 6m, a rev. Limiter and a billet marine distributor for a Chevy. He also gave me a new comp cams cam and lifter set he'd purchased as well as a Mallory unilateral distributor. So it was hard not to fix the olds since it came with the offenhouser tunnel headers and all. I've got a big block Chevy forged top and bottom needs freshened up, hoping to find a flat bottom to drop it in. This'll be first year racing so I'm just looking to gain experience. Lookin to make some noise and have a little fun. Thanks guys...keith

I bought a Hondo t deck 76 model with a olds/jacuzzi combo. Hoping to race the river racer class with it I'm the SDBA. What can you guys tell me about it? Needing a 10 quart pan for a 455 if anyone has one laying around....thanks Keith 940-328-4441. I'm new to talk forums as I R Roughneck
